Thanks for ruining my favourite shows for me, Schumer, you talentless hack.

http://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/amy-schumer-releases-gun-violence-sketch-in-wake-of-orlando-shooting/ar-AAhxEnq?ocid=spartanntp

For those who don't want to click. It's not on Youtube, so MSN is the least biased source I could find.

>"comedy" sketch up Amy Schumer's TV show
>H. Jon Benjamin playing a lawyer telling victims of shootings to don't bother calling him, since they have no recourse to sue gun manufacturers
>typical crying about the PLCAA, comparing suing gun manufacturers to suing other companies for actual acts of negligence
>literally 0% comedy, 100% political horsefuckery
>>
>>30390582
Fuckin' Bob couldn't keep his fat mouth shut
>>
>>30390582
>B-b-but you can't sue the manufacturer
In any other murder people just sue the murderer's family. Why are guns magically different?
>>
>>30390624
Genuine question or retard?
>>
>>30390624
I don't think guns are usually genetically related to the murderer
>>
>>30390630
>>30390634
I think he's saying that it's dumb that people try to sue manufacturers of the murder weapon only when it's a gun.
>>
>>30390624
The crybaby logic is that it's the gun/ammo manufacturer's fault for making such a deadly product available to the public, so they should be liable when someone uses their product for wrong.

It also just happens that the average gun manufacturer has a loooooooot more money than your average shitbag murderer.
>>
>>30390652
Why stop there? Why not sue the companies that made the ammo, the magazine, the optics, the vehicle used to travel to the murder site, and the shoes the killer was wearing at the time?
>>
>>30390700
>>30390671

why not sue Ford for every car related death their products were involved in?

Why not sue Exxon for providing the gasoline?
>>
>giving them hits
>>
If you want to sue a gun manufacturer, prove that their guns cause undue harm out of negligence, such as exploding barrels or receivers, or that holding the gun gives someone cancer.

Suing them for providing a working product to retailers and wholesalers is wholesale, retail retardation
>>
>>30390726
Because then those companies would go out of business.

The idea behind this, and the only possible outcome of repealing the PLCAA and opening the floodgates for liability suits, is every American manfacturer and importer of firearms and ammo either goes out of business or stops selling to the public.

These suits almost drove Colt, Ruger, and S&W out of business. Just imagine what would happen today with the plethora of smaller companies out there and the much larger and better-organized anti-gun lobby. Literally one crime with a manufacturer's product could drive them out of business.

Ublock Origin coming through pleb, make way.

Sorry, but /k/ loses this one. Citizens regularly sue manufacturers for people doing bad things with their products. Cleaning chemicals, candy with toys in them, even dangerous machines covered in warnings.

ALL OF THIS is nonsense of course, but it's still true that guns are getting special protection. It's obvious anti-gun horseshit to ONLY want to fix guns when the system should be fixed...

...but they're still correct AFAIK.
>>
>>30390797
and those suits regularly lose or they're rightly demonized. The media doesn't shit itself en masse trying to prove that Ford Superduty shouldn't be able to smash through the wall of a nursing home every time some idiot falls asleep at the wheel of one.
>>
>>30390797
The gun industry only gets special protection because they're the only industry who's ever been targeted by an organized wave of frivolous lawsuits based on the concept that one is responsible if someone else uses their product illegally.

Sure, some frivolous suits fly around every once in a while, but they're generally thrown out. Meanwhile the anti-gun lobby nearly drove the entire American firearms industry into the ground in the 90s.

MAAD never led a wave of suits against Ford, blaming them for drunk driving deaths.

The gun industry is just as liable as anyone else for actual negligence, defective products, etc. Fuck this is a horrible time for antis to rage against the PLCAA as Remington and Taurus BOTH lost separate class action lawsuits for negligence. They weren't protected since they actually did something wrong.
>>
>>30390582
>Sue gun companies for a person intentionally murdering a person with a gun they made
>Suing a cutlery company because a person was stabbed with their knives
>Suing a car company because a person intentionally hit a cyclist
>Suing a manufacturer of product that is used in a highly illegal matter that the manufacturer cannot anticipate or prevent
>Petition the legal system to absolve adults of any responsibility and treat the citizenry like retarded children because "Muh feels Muh safety"

Of course it's always gullible women led by socialists seeking complete control over humanity.
>>
>>30390797
Are you paid by post or buy (you)?
>>
>>30390797
>Cleaning chemicals, candy with toys in them, even dangerous machines covered in warnings
and besides the candy full of chocking hazards, most of those cases fail

if someone bought a gun and it exploded on them because of defect in craftsmanship that's a legit reason for lawsuit
>>
>>30390582
(((Schumer))) you should have seen this coming you fucking retard.

Just don't give Jews views, that's how you end up giving Jews money.
>>
>>30391013
I expected it from Schumer. That I'm not surprised at. I'm surprised at H. Jon Benjamin joining her retarded little crusade against things they care enough about to complain but not enough to understand.
