hello there k, my question for you is what are pmags for the m4 made of, as in what is the name of the polymer?

bonus question is how would I go about bonding material, say epoxies and resins, to it?

I'm planing on making a sculptural relief for the panels of my pmags out of either green stuff or boat epoxy, I may also try several other molded epoxies and or resins. it will be very low profile to prevent snagging. I'm aiming to keep it functional but fancy.
I would also like your thoughts on this.
Stipling looks like shit.

in b4 "it's a tool durrrr!" i like nice personalized things that I make myself.

Don't use boat epoxy unless you intend to hand carve it once it's dried. That shit is messy.
>>

So you're applying the resin/epoxy to the mags?

So I'm looking to buy my second rifle. I'm looking at either an SKS, an AK, or a VZ 58. I'd like to buy new if possible, but I'd like to only spend around $800 if I can. Unfortunately I'm a southern califag, so none of my local shops really carry any. Anyone in the San Diego area know of any shops within 75 miles that carry them? If not, what's a good site to buy CA legal rifles? Also, suggestions as to which rifle to choose over the others are appreciated.

I'm aware I would carve with a Dremel after its dry. then probably finish it with hand tools. I literally just had this idea about 12 Google searches ago and now I can't wait for tomorrow to get a 40 round magpul and start experimenting. I can't believe someone hasn't done it yet or that is not published somewhere. I'm getting psyched.
>>
>>30387653
yes but in a way it would be better if I can mould then remove and carve then bond permanently to it.

Atlantic firearms, jgsales, Royal tiger imports. Most will have a Ca legal section or an option for a BB at the bottom of the page.

I'm looking at getting a compact pistol in 9mm and I think I've settled of a used BU9 Nano at my LGS.
What should I pay for this gun and what kind of holster would you recommend I use to carry it?

Overly hot rounds in a glock, frame ruptured resulting in catastrophic failure.
Poor guy lost his trigger finger.
Don't fuck up your reloads kids.

I like hearing that better than 'manufacturing defect'
>>
>>30387762
It doesn't matter what you make the damn thing out of if you don't use recommended loads.
Polymer frames are about as reliable as anything else if you aren't fucking stupid.
I really don't get the whole glock-nade meme anymore.
>>
>>30387772

what is "recommended loads"?
>>
>>30387794
anything that isn't cramming as much powder into a cartridge as possible just to see what happens. I don't remember the specifics of that incident but it was a stupidly large of amount of powder in that cartridge, which should be avoided.
Google it nigga, idduno

Huh...well either way fuck it. I guess glocks still ain't explosive and I need to do more research. Thanks.

Must admit got me there too for a second.
Then again as a german I don't touch anything that isn't insanely overbuilt. Maybe its inadequacy but extra mass does inspire confidence.
>>
>>30387772
I'm not one of those glock-nade people, or even polymer-nade.

I respect the forces involved and respect the damage that a manufacturing defect can cause.

>scare people into buying your product instead
Only place it fails is cold as the polymer becomes brittle. Then again if any fail you will probably want polymer fragments over steel shrapnel...
>>
>>30387861
Yeah I get it. QC is important and the fact that there are pictures proves it can happen.
I trust Glock to not fuck up like that again though.
It doesn't look like a common incident at all actually, seeing how popular glocks are.

I want an old tip up double barrel shotgun, evil dead style.. Will they be abundant in pawn shops, for what general price?

Both will ruin your day.
