Is there any reason that I shouldn't Loctite my ring and mount screws?

No. Unless for whatever reason you can't undo them afterwards.
Just don't use the red loctite.
>>30384266
theres no reason you shouldnt do this. loctite isnt superglue, with enough torque you can beak through it

red loctite needs heat, enough heat to mess with the temper of your metals.

It's a waste of money. Get a good torque wrench and follow the manufacturer's directions.

This. Use Blue Loctite. I use it on the yoke screw on my revolver.
Ive used wifes clear nail polish. It works if you are in a jam

I use jam, it works if you're in a wife
Every single screw on your gun, loctite it. Get the blue 242 loctite, don't use the red one.
You have more reasons as to why you should than shouldn't
I mostly lurk this board, but just checking in to say: I assemble a ton of guns everyday at my job, and we use red loctite for all the screws. It isn't this scary permanent thing that it's advertised/known as. Spray some oil on it and you can get it out no problem.
I like to crossthread my screws. Crossthreading holds better than loctite
