There's an adapter plate available to allow the mounting of an RMR style micro dot to the top of the DBAL. I've got a PA micro green dot I'm not using, but can't think of a good way to make the setup work with my rifle.
Maybe I should set my 516 upper up as an HD upper with just just the DBAL+Dot as the optic, plus BUIS and light.
Next question, anyone have any experience with the Surefire SR-07 dual switch? It's the only double switch I can find that will work with my SF light and the DBAL. $100 fucking dollarydoos for a switch though.

I have the gen3 T series, its rock solid. The quad rail has teeth that set into the barrel nut which keep it from rotating, pic related. MLOK and keymod rails have a torque plate.

As the other anon said, it's Strike Industries. Mod1 Viper to be exact, but they only make the one. It's like a cheaper alternative to the MFT Minimalist.
Gotta say I'm impressed with it. There's no slop or rattle to it whatsoever unless it's fully extended, and then it's only so slight. The trade off is that it's a little stiff to adjust, but not to the point of being a problem.

smart, it's because the phase5 weighs more so it doesn't move with the same velocity as the bad-equipped or naked bolt latch. i had the same problem with my taclink ebal. i hogged it out with a dremel on the bottom to make it clear the receiver better and that also had the nice side-benefit of locking back reliably.

There are a lot of aluminum tube style out there that tend to be quite cheap. Hogue has some that are overmolded which is actually nice if you like the tube look.
