Wish they would just make a long barreled version like what was done to the P90 so we could have proper stocks. a 16.5in barrel with an adjustable stock would be very comfy to use in that caliber. Till then we get the CX4...

They do, but they suck. it's just a hideously long barrel that you'd have to chop since changing the barrel on the MP5 requires a large amount of work.

>>30379569
WTF? My world is a lie! Is that an HK, or one of the Zenith made ones? How long is the barrel?
>>
>>30379625
Don't know. Though I do think PoF and Zenith make them. The barrel is the minimum length of 16.5, but as you can see it's the ugliest shit this side of the Mississippi

I have the pakistani POF full size pistol with a sig arm brace

other than the shitty paint job its been flawless even the trigger is pretty good (for a HK).
>>
>>30379204
I have a Zenith Z-5RS sbr that is amazing. I plink with it at 50 70 100 125 yards regularly. It has been flawless with every ammo i have tried and last weekend i went through about 4 boxes of aluminum cased 115 gr federal.

I know that the K models and some full size builds have problems with weaker 115 gr stuff. Generally the full size guns run better than the smaller ones.
>>
>>30379204
The H&K made guns are the best if you can swing them. The overall function, quality, etc. is just at the top in comparison to contracts and clones that have minor issues in function and finish here and there. On top of that you can always sell it for nearly what you bought it for or more in certain cases, H&Ks retain value really well.

The contract builds are usually decent, but not necessarily. POF is, imo, just garbage. They're very hit and miss and with Zenith around now for at or a little above the price, I wouldn't buy POF. Zenith hasn't been around long, but so far they've done really well and have great CS if you listen to the forums. Again, a few minor issues in function and finish (occasional bad trigger packs, ugly welds, incorrect 3 lug timing, etc.) but overall solid and a good company to square away with. They also come with a lot in the box, so that's a bonus.

Clone builds from U.S. makers are a big gamble and range from really good to really terrible. The two companies you hear the best for work and product quality is TPM, Brethren, and Dakota, but at that point you're basically near the price point for an H&K and availability is off and on.
>>
>>30382498
I own 3 POF's are they beat Zeniths hands down. For the price these days they are flying off the shelves. I tried to buy two more and I'm on back order.

The MP5SD2 and MP5SD5 with the fixed stocks seem more visually balanced with the integrated suppressor.

Speaking of, has there been an MP5SD clone marketed that retains the appearance but without an actual suppressor installed?

The suppressor design is quite archaic at least. It's very suboptimal for its size. But I do believe other companies make more up to date designs for it.

Early MP5 mags were straight, curved Magazines were a later development, that's why the ones you see in Iran have straight mags because their tooling is from the 70s.

10mm MP5 Magazines are more diagonally inserted than the 9mm which are relatively vertical to the gun.
