Isn't it? There's not too much to my family history but a friend of mine has a story of some relatives of his who lived in like 1730s America in upstate New York. Their names were Moses and Aaron and one day Aaron was killed in an Indian raid and left face down in a river. The next week Moses, who was an inkeeper, hears some Indian bragging about how he killed some guy and left him face down in the river. He serves them and they leave and start canoeing back to their encampment, but before they get there he and a friend are sitting on the riverbanks with muskets and they kill the Indians.

So normaly we use big two handed blugeons (goedenedag) to deal with the frogs. It's become a tradition in Flanders, smashing in their heads once we cut their horses out from under them.
But I've been hearing a lot about these "pick" things. Supposed to make a nice little hole in the armor.
Do any of you /k/navesatarms tried them? dothey get stuck? do they break? does frenchy shout more once you stick him?

What does thine need a Broadsword for, peasant?
If thy cottage is getting robbed, just call thy Lordship or use thy pitchfork to fend off the attack.
No servant of the kingdom actually needs a Broadsword. If push came to shove, what, are you and your serfs going to defeat the Templars by yourselves?
What next, should you have the right to own a catapult? No servant of our King should need anything more than a dagger to defend himself in his home. You're just overcompensating for your hunched stature and peasant birth.

>Hermannus Contractus (1013–1054) was among the earliest Christian scholars to estimate the circumference of Earth with Eratosthenes' method. Thomas Aquinas (1225–1274), the most important and widely taught theologian of the Middle Ages, believed in a spherical Earth; and he even took for granted his readers also knew the Earth is round.[nb 1] Lectures in the medieval universities commonly advanced evidence in favor of the idea that the Earth was a sphere.[106] Also, "On the Sphere of the World", the most influential astronomy textbook of the 13th century and required reading by students in all Western European universities, described the world as a sphere. Thomas Aquinas, in his Summa Theologica, wrote, "The physicist proves the earth to be round by one means, the astronomer by another: for the latter proves this by means of mathematics, e.g. by the shapes of eclipses, or something of the sort; while the former proves it by means of physics, e.g. by the movement of heavy bodies towards the center, and so forth."[107]
>The shape of the Earth was not only discussed in scholarly works written in Latin; it was also treated in works written in vernacular languages or dialects and intended for wider audiences. The Norwegian book Konungs Skuggsjá, from around 1250, states clearly that the Earth is round—and that there is night on the opposite side of the Earth when there is daytime in Norway. The author also discusses the existence of antipodes—and he notes that (if they exist) they see the Sun in the north of the middle of the day, and that they experience seasons opposite those of people in the Northern Hemisphere.

/k/ I need help. I fucked up. I fucked up bad.
Quick backstory, me and my squire love hunting, but it gets tiring to go all the way out into the woods and walk on my feet like some serf. So I started using the old trebuchet on the castle wall. But APPARENTLY it's pretty hard to hit a moving target from five furlongs out, or so the artillerymen kept saying before I put them in the dungeon.
Then, we decided that firing a bunch of smaller stones at once that were also on fire was the best option, Why fire? To pre-cook the animal of course. Genius, I know. But it's the rainy season and it didn't work as planned. I remembered what the marshal told me about history, and I got my hands on Greek Fire. How? Gypsies
So long story short now the entire Northwoods is burning and it's rapidly approaching the King's lands. I can't even ask the creepy old pagan lady for some magic to fix it because I'm pretty sure that's her smoking hut sitting in what used to be apple grove. My dad gets back from his pilgrimage in 2 days, he might already be able to see the smoke even.

Alas, I could not. I have been riding much of the day and only dueled her escort because he suggested it.
