Seconded. There is no way that things could take a full cylinder of even the proper reproduction ammo, loaded to lower pressures. That thing is no longer a gun, it is a bomb looking for a payload.

That's exactly what it is. I used to have one with a short barrel and an exposed hammer. It was missing a ton of stuff, and parts for these are pretty much unobtanium, so I ended up selling it at a show as a parts gun. I paid $25 for it, got $100 for it, so I was happy.

OP, take it apart, clean out the worst of the crud and if it locks up firm, load some light trail boss loads. Maybe polish it up and blue it if you feel inclined.
