Hey, /k/, fa/tg/uy here doing some research.

If I asked you to name the average firearm your average police officer had with him as a duty weapon or in his cruiser, you'd answer with what?
>>
Glock 17 and some sort of AR-15
>>
>>30354825
This.
>>
Glock brand Glock
>>
>>30354811
Glock, pump 12 gauge, ar-15
>>
>>30354825
this, Glock 17 sidearm, Ar15 rifle.

*maybe* add a Mossberg 590a1 shotgun to that list?
>>
>>30354849
pretty much this.
I'm sure there's also some people rolling with M9's cuz "muh armed forces", but they aren't common.
>>
>>30354811
My agency issues Glock 31s as our duty weapon (for patrol anyways). As far as cruiser mounted - everyone has at least a Mossberg 500A and an AR.

.357 SIG is a pretty popular round with LE in NC.
>>
>>30354811

SP 2022 and G36K in the car of some of them.

Some can still be seen carrying PAMAS or MR-73
>>
>>30354811
>avergae
glock 22 or 23 and an AR 15 or ive seen some with mossenburg shotguns, but ive seen ones with sigs, older smith and wessons, berettas but generally glocks are the norm

The state police in my area just upgraded to smith and wesson M&P .45s
>>
>>30354881
BLAK LIFES MATTRESS!
>>
>>30354811
Indiana state police are using a sig variant. 9mm, but not sure which one. They were using the 2022 before.
>>
>>30354901
Thankfully we don't have to deal with a lot of that shit. And when they do complain about it, our leadership/admin tells them to go fuck themselves.

Glad as fuck I'm not with Raleigh or Durham.
>>
>>30354896
>older smith and wessons

There are still states that allow that?
>>
>>30354811
Or or or

You could go to your city hall and use your states equivalent of FOIA to request a list of all firearm and ammunition purchases in the past few years.

Oh, sorry. I forgot you were an autistic faggot. Here's mine.

Rock River AR-15 (2)
Daniel Defense AR-15 (1)
Remington 870 Pump (7)
Mossberg 500 Pump (5)
Remington 1100 Auto (4)
Mossberg 930 Auto (4)
Glock 22 40cal (63)
Glock 23 40cal (20)
Glock 24 40cal (8)
Glock 27 40cal (2)
Glock 17 9mm (19)
Glock 26 9mm (1)

This was two or three years ago, the 17 had been allowed for maybe a year at that point.
>>
Glock 22 or M&P 40
AR
Mossberg 500
>>
>>30355622
>Glock 24
thats a large sidearm
>>
>>30354881
You know what else is popular with LE in NC? Not supporting the right to bear arms. Thanks to the faggot sheriff's association we still have PPPs. You're not a faggot sheriff are you?

>>

My bruv had a glawk before he had to leave the force because of his ex wife
>>
>>30355346
LAPD still does as far as major cities. County cops in the midwest and smaller towns are given more leeway and can use what they want in some cases
I saw a younger LEO with a revolver once. I think it was a 686 smith
>>
>>30354811
glack 22 and OC spray
sometimes see some ETF vans rolling around with C8s in the front seat and no trigger discipline
>>
>>30354811
Glock 19 or 17 on his person, ar-15, mossberg 500 or Remington 870 in the cruiser
>>
>>30355346
he might have been talking about smoth autos, like the 45xx series
>>
Glock

Mossberg 500, Remington 870 Ithaca 37 or if they haven't updated their inventory in a good long while, a Winchester 1300.

also, most keep ARs in the trunk now.
>>
>>30354811
As a table top player, I would respond by asking when and where your game is set.
>>
>>30354849
Not that many mossbergs in police service as remingtons
>>
>>30354811

Glock 22
Mossberg 500/590
DPMS/Bushmaster AR-15
>>
was going to make my own thread, but this one is close enough.

Are SWAT members assigned weapons? Can they bring their own rifles if they want? Does it depend on what department they're with?
>>
p226
AR
Mossberg500

This is a small town in WA
>>
>>30354811
Glock 22 on belt with three mags of premium hollow points.
Mossberg 500 or Remington 870 in the patrol car with 12 gauge buckshot loaded with more in a side saddle holder along with a couple slugs.
Increasingly a semiauto 16" barreled AR-15 of some kind loaded with jacketed soft points, possibly barrier blind. 3 extra mags on a plate carrier.

What kind of scenario is this for? I can help fine tune it if I know the setting and context. I can also provide a more complete load out if you want.
>>
>>30356874
Probably depends, my local SWAT can build their own SBRs and shit if they want. They have to pay out of pocket but it would be worth it for a badass rifle
>>
>>30356883
Shelton?
>>
>>30354849
Yeah, and maybe a Remington 870 in the back?
>>
>>30356907
Nah, I shouldn't say small. 40k people
>>
Either glawk brand glawks or P226s in the rich people neighborhoods
>>

some sort of glock and glock accessories

What?

In my area: Smith & Wesson M&P .40 or 9mm. Shotguns or AR-15 as the in-trunk backup weapon.

However, most cops in my area qualify with their own weapons the instant their probational period is over. In that case: Kimbers, Kimbers everywhere.

Sounds like some edgey millenial pandering like Sig does. "THE ALL NEW 45XX. WILL EVEN FIRE AFTER IT'S BEEN COMPLETELY DESTROYED. 1 SHOT WILL BLOW AWAY YOUR ATTACKER. IT'S 45 XXTREME!"

Sherriffs dept uses Glock 22, Remington 870p and ARs. G27s for detective work. Other PDs use a mix of pistols, but always either an 870 or Mossberg 590 and often an AR, rarely a Mini-14 or M1A.
>>
>>30354811
I've had three service pistols over the years. The first was a Sig 226 in .40, the second was a USP Compact in .40, and now I have a S&W M&P .40.
I used to have an 11-87 in the cruiser, now it's a Colt LE 6920, no longer a shotgun. Some guys in my department still have the Remington's, but most switched to AR's and the shotguns are pretty much exclusively bean bag guns with orange furniture. Back up guns have always been Glock 27's but now we can choose between a Glock 27 and a m&p shield in .40.
>>
>>30362085

Any reason for a difference sidearm for detectives?
>>
>>30361817
No accounting for taste, I suppose.
>>30362223
Concealment in plain clothes.
>>
>>30354811

Glock 17/19/21

AR-15/remington 870
>>
>>30354881

I work in Durham and cops carry fnxs and some full size sig Sauers.
>>
>>30362223
going off what >>30362310 said,
the G27 is a compact pistol. It doesn't print in regular clothing very much,
so many detectives use it as their carry weapon.
The only other reason I can think to carry a 27 over a 17 is that
it would fit smaller hands better. It's really a case by case thing if you aren't a detective.
>>
>>30355827
Nope, I'm a municipal police officer - I think PPPs are retarded. At the patrol level, NC LEOs in general are super conservative. Personally I don't know any anti-2A LEOs.
