Well /k/, I just bought a gun legally for the first time today (before, I'd just hand money to my dad who would fill out the paperwork). Paid $630 for a Vz.58 + 4 mags and an original pouch. Did I do good? Also, post your first gun purchases.
>$630 for a Century VZ2008 with four mags
Could have bought the exact same rifle with four mags for $399 a year or two ago
>before, I'd just hand money to my dad who would fill out the paperwork
wew lad, way to admit that you've committed felonies
nice vz, anon. is that canada dollarydoos?

Not only did you get a shitgun you also overpaid.

>$630
>Overpaid
Sorry, it's not 2008 anymore bud.

Dont mind the hator-ade. Go out and shoot it and enjoy it. Most Century CZ's are good to go.
When funds allow I would get the troy or some other after market hand guards and furniture to mount an optic.

>2008
In 2008 Century's vzs were going for around $500-$600, so technically by 2008 standards he did a little higher than normal. I know this because I bought my Czechpoint vz in 2008 and it was only around $100 more than a Century at that time.
The cheap Century vz deal was in 2014 or 2015, I can't remember.
First gun, cz p 09, first rifle, sub 2k.

My sub 2k next to my unmodified little badger.

>I've commited several felonies
Sorry about your dog.
for another $270, you could have gotten an actual dtechnik vz58, not a vz2000
Inter-family transfers for <18yr olds isn't a felony, please don't listen to these idiots above OP. You were well within the letter of the law, it's not a straw purchase

>Felonies
>Not knowing that a "gift from a parent" isn't a straw purchase.

Doesn't even have to be less than 18 does it? My dad gifted me a shotgun when I was 21.
gifts are fine. OP maybe be confused or worded his post poorly. theres no need to eat each other.
You did terribly, OP. You could have bought a good rifle instead. I'm not offering any alternatives, mind you. Just look at stuff similar in price.

Giving someone else the money for a firearm and having them fill out paperwork isn't a gift purchase, it's 100% a straw purchase.
A gift would be "hey that's a cool gun, my dad would love it" or "hey I'm gonna buy my buddy this gun for his birthday", not "hey dad I want that gun, here's $630, go get it for me and do all the paperwork."

$630 for a VZ58? Fawk you OP.
*grumbles under breath*
My first purchase was a 12" barreled SBS 870.
can someone define fingerfuck ?
