I would take a PPSH if I was going to clear a building. The high ROF and drum mag would be great for room to room fighting, but useless at longer ranges.
MP40 for more longer range stuff or if riding around in a vehicle.

Actually, to translate what he said into human, one is superior in terms of a person fighting and the other is superior in terms of being able to issue it to more troops for less money and resources.
Still, it, in my opinion, comes down to the cartridges they're chambered for.
9mm Luger and 7.62x25 tokerev.
I personally think that 7.62 Tok is the superior SMG cartridge as it's a lighter round with more velocity achieving a flatter trajectory and thus a longer range.
However for logistics, using an SMG in 9mm Luger makes more sense as I prefer it for handguns.
There are arguments for both sides and honestly as with all "which is better" arguments it ends up depending on what you need it for.

The bulgarian one looked like an actual WW2 russian helmet, whereas the czech one looks like a chamber pot turned upside down.
So sure it's a steel helmet, and it was pierced, but is it relevant when comparing Russian and German amries? No.
The PPsh is the product of taking a good gun and making it shit to save money, while still working just well enough. The MP 40 is a well designed, affordable, and robust SMG made to standard military specs, as opposed to Russian military specs. This was the Soviets, mind you.

I just built a 7.62x25 AR 15 carbine. (Not quite done yet though) It takes ppsh stick mags. I also got about 1200rds+/- of Russian milsurp steel core ammo to go with it.
Does anyone know a good place to get some stick mags? I thought about getting a drum. But I think I will just stick with sticks

it was shot once with 9x19. and another with .45 acp. the czech helmet was shot once with 9x19 and twice with .45 acp. which did not penetrate.
You'll also notice the czech helmet was shot on the flat. whereas the Bulgarian helmet was hit on the top when they used the 9x19. which is where the most curve, and thus deflective surface was.
You also seem to have this idea that i give a shit about german gear. in reality slavs and krauts are subhuman. i'm just replying to your noguns statements.
