The Sar tavor is ergonomically built better and tested more in my honest opinion, helps its cause by having its hand grip be more straight vs angular as far as shooting comfort goes. 1 more week and I pick mine up from the FFL... In terms of build quality, it is lacking and generally unrefined. The plastics used feel cheap and crudely molded. The metal work is mediocre, with obvious tooling marks.
As a whole, the rifle exudes all the quality of a Savage Axis, with enough novelty to add $1200 to the price tag.

It's kind of like the shittier version of it. 5.56 instead of 5.8xwhatever, and apparently the newer QBZ models are not only metal-reinforced in the plastic shell, but they've done some interesting things like lowering the carry handle height and relocating the fuckstupid safety location.

You can buy 18" RFBs for $1300-$1400. For the price of a new SCAR 17s, you can get the RFB, a nice red dot (or cost-effective glass), a half dozen surplus FAL magazines (which actually have inflated in price), and a case of real fuckin' NATO.

It's more of a neutral brown
Brown can blend into both sand and dirt, so it can still work in a woodland or jungle enviroment
Green guns just don't sell well enough to warrant them putting out a separate SKU for them
If you want it green, just paint it yourself or get it cerakoted to your liking
