I would totally get an MDR if I wasn't a poorfag but I cant justify spending 2000 dollars on a gun with no history to justify the price tag.
Yes desert tech has a stellar record with their bolt actions but this is their first gas operated rifle.

Nah just the same kel tec problem as usual. They make every part of their guns im the usa and are in super high demand and their company only possesses medicore production capacities.

The KSG had the dame problem when it first released, couldn't find them anywhere. Now I see at least 2 on the wall every time I visit my LGS. Its just gonna take some time.
>>
>>30343006
This. I bought my KSG too early, wound up paying too much for a G1. Not gonna happen, again. I'll wait until it's actually in stock and retailing for MSRP.

In the meantime, maybe I'll get a Sub 2000.
>>
Current waiting list for the RDB is around 800p long.
Keltec produces 100-150 per day.
This means, unless you want to pay double msrp for one, you will be waiting at least four months until they're a noticeable market presence.
>>
>>30343035
8000, rather.

Tombstone tactical had them for $843 before they sold out of inventory instantly so I suspect once things level out the RDB will be had for between 800 and 1000 shekels.

Out of intrest, if there is an assault rifle ban (god forbid) do you think it would only apply to AR-15 style weapons or would it be as far reaching as to cover all black weapons.

I'm going to let the x95 hype run its course during the premature gun panic no one was ready for ...
The Sar tavor is ergonomically built better and tested more in my honest opinion, helps its cause by having its hand grip be more straight vs angular as far as shooting comfort goes. 1 more week and I pick mine up from the FFL... This waiting is blue balls to me... july 1st right before Independance day...

Cousin logistical chains for both the bullpup and conventional configurations seems like a major bonus for a military customer though.

I don't really shoot mine and bought it more for novelty. It works fine, practically speaking.

In terms of build quality, it is lacking and generally unrefined. The plastics used feel cheap and crudely molded. The metal work is mediocre, with obvious tooling marks.

As a whole, the rifle exudes all the quality of a Savage Axis, with enough novelty to add $1200 to the price tag.
>>
>>30343059
Mines amazing. Reliable, accurate (1.5-2.5 MOA depending on the load), and fun. If I had to only take one rifle with me somewhere (god forbid) my RFB would be that rifle (Or maybe my FS2000, it's neck and neck).

4-5 inches is a lot when you're talking about rifles. Bullpups, when they are toeing the legal minimum, end up being about as long as a standard collapsible stock Ar with a 10.5" barrel. That's pretty short.

Ever heard of the M249 "saw" or FAL or F2000 or P90 PDW or the CROWS system?
FNH is their maker
They're so busy in fact that they're on their 4th generation of the SCAR utilizing a single upper receiver with interchangeable lowers and barrel assemblies and bolts to change calibers instead of having to change the whole rifle.
The P90 has been in use for over 30 years.

Is this your first gun? Why on Earth do you want a PS 90?
>>

Thinking of having a a Bullpup as my first "owned" gun. I'm deciding between a PS90 and a STEYR-AUG. I was considering the F2000 as well but they're nigh impossible to find.

Anyone have a good amount of experience with both? Maybe your own personal accounts of the pros and cons?
>>
>>30346900
The PS90 shoots ridiculously expensive 5.7x28mm. the AUG shoots 5.56 NATO. You will spend hundreds of dollars per year just staying marginally good with the PS90.

Nigga I pay more for .40 S&W per round than on 5.7 over half of the time I go ammo shopping.

A PS90 is actually a good beginner gun, if you can afford to drop $1200 on it starting out.

Still making guns for people who ordered them awhile back. You order them now and get them two years later. It really is a high demand. There are 3 shifts running for manufacturing.
>>
>>30347550
You can't order guns directly from Kel-tec. They ONLY give orders to distributors.

>all that shit on the ground

>>
>>30347548
You made the claim, doesn't work that way.

Keltec says they're being produced daily and you've got nothing but conspiracy theories to argue otherwise.
>>
>>30347575
And I said they aren't, and the numbers on KTOG back up my statement, not theirs. Thus the preponderance of evidence is in my favor. QED I'm right, you're wrong, and Kel-tec is lying.

>>
>>30347550
I'm not entirely sure i know of any other company thats so back logged they can't produce product for 2 years though... I like some of the ideas keltec puts forward but honestly every other company seems to be beat them to the punch on actually putting things on the shelves.
>>
>>30347609
Imagine a machine shop that went full production and acted like it was a factory. That is what Kel Tec is. They aren't designed for large scale production like Glock or Smith & Wesson. They are in the process of expanding, but they are riding the wave right now.

Once again, the "numbers" from KTOG are inconclusive at very best.

be honest man. Keltec really doesn't give a flying fuck about its consumers does it? I mean i get caring more about the bottom line but even small scale producers could do better than 2 year back orders over almost 9 years.

anyway i just wanted a fucking RFB but at the rate its being inflated i'd rather buy a SCAR-H. Those actually exist
>>
>>30347725
To be honest, George just wants to make his designs. The company is just a benefit of being able to design and produce some of his ideas. The company in general just funds it all so he can keep the pace going. There is a management issue and I agree with you.

I really love bullpups but non eof them are exactly what i want.
I want a complately sealed off downward ejecting bullpup chambered in a cartridge like .308 or 6.5 creed with a 21" barrel and full ambidexterity, with modularity rivaling that of (and sharing a bit with) the AR-15.

I think that wouldnt be too hard to do.

Completely sealed off, [ambi] ejection, .308 or 6.5 creed, 19" barrel, full ambidexterity, modular barrels, fore-ends, pistol grips, same rail height and optics compatibility with ARs (unlike tavor).

>>
I've shot the L1 and Steyr aug and the tavor.
L1 not bad but not worth the money
Tavor, few rounds then click no bang. Fixed rifle, inconsistent groupings, click no bang rinse repeat
Aug, less than 1moa grouping with MBUS. Apply acog, immaculate conception, violate paper at distances AR fags can't hit.

L1 and Tavor had inconsistent trigger pulls the Aug feels mushy but consistent. Breaks clean in the same place every time.

Nothing will separate my Steyr and me.

You can buy 18" RFBs for $1300-$1400. For the price of a new SCAR 17s, you can get the RFB, a nice red dot (or cost-effective glass), a half dozen surplus FAL magazines (which actually have inflated in price), and a case of real fuckin' NATO.
