>buy an X300 Ultra for $200
>certain ways of switching only put out 30-60% of intended light output
>activation switches require retard amount of force to use
>dunk light in a bucket of water
>battery compartment has water in it
>can scratch surface paint and expose the anodized aluminum with just a fingernail

Can someone remind me why this piece of shit cost more than a TLR-1? I can wager that would have a higher percentage of not fucking up so badly right out of the box.

>my finger is really weak and the switch is more stiff than I was anticipating so I'm gonna make up more shit because my self esteem is really low right now

Who are you quoting?

FTFY

You could, ya know, try and get it replaced under warranty.
>>
>>30340796
I bought it from a reputable surefire dealer. Or is that chinkshit?

Tactical light thread OP?

If you owned one then why didn't you post a pic of it?

I too am surprised that a light 1/2 its price has a IP68 rating but the x300U itself will die if you get it near water. I don't care though, I own both and will be using both.
>>
>>30340756
Obviously economically challenged, and having buyers remorse after spending your paycheck on a light that cost more than your gun. You should sell it at a loss and go back to your NcSTAR.

Thanks for visiting /k/
>>
>>30340894
cool i'm ready to go
>>
X300 has pretty easy switches. Chances are you got took on some knock off
>>
>>30340756
Obviously full-o-shit.
I have two and had another in Iraq (left with a friend in my unit). NEVER any issue. Tough as nails.
One thing: put duct tape or something over the lens if you fire without needing it on - it will make "micro scratches" in the glass.
>>
>>30340912
>inforce APL

breaks under sustained use
>>
>>30341260
if it's like the X400 I used the momentary on was kind of a pain in the butt
not a fan of the "push in" switch
>>
I really am thinking about just getting a streamlight
is it really that much of a difference? the only place that I would use it is inside my house (the longest distance would be 50 feet maybe?)
I feel like I should just go all out on it, but the price difference of the light just seems like a waste honestly.

Surefire is overpriced garbage. They were relevant in the mid 2000s before LEDs were a thing and 'other' 'tactical' incandescent lights blew out under use.

In the age of LEDs (Read : Post 2008), Surefire is overpriced meme garbage riding its name down.

Surefire pistol lights can't hold up to the high muzzle blast that 5.7x28's overpowered report generates. Their lenses melt after only 5 rounds (15+ wound vectors).

Buy Viridian Green Laser™ ® © instead.
>>
>>30342772
They leak. Do you require more reason to not buy a $350 weapon light?
>>
>>30342783
I'm not even sure if this is the genuine Marisa at this point. I suppose Poe's law is in action.
>>
Weapon light thread now.

How are viridian lights? Was looking at a stream light tlr 1 at first but I kind of want something different.

What is a good light that sits flush with glock 19 muzzle?
>>
>>30342817
>sits flush with glock 19 muzzle?

Surefire XC1, but the price will hurt
>>
>>30342817
Viridian is good.

The Viridian C5L might work for you, but may be a bit short to flush fit the 19's muzzle. It looks best on 3 inch pistols.
>>
>>30342817

>>30342836 here, will vouch for >>30342841, C5Ls look and work just fine on G19s but holster availability is slightly suspect
>>
>>30340756
>>30340886

if anything you posted is true, you bought a knock off

>ITT: poorfag sour grapes

>muh streamlight just as good

I EDC a streamlight pocket light, have a TLR, and a couple surefire scout lights. The fact of the matter is, streamlight doesnt even compare to surefire. They are a good budget option but when you pay 2x for the comparable surefire option instead of streamlight, its because you get 2x the quality/durability if not more.
>>
>>30340790
You OP, he's quoting your bitch ass
>>
>activation switches require retard amount of force to use
Congrats on your $200 chinkshit clone, dumbass.
>>
>>30340886
Those markings look hella fake.

>>30341656
Multiple generations of the APL have had breaking issues. People that send them in are constantly told, "Yeah the polymer we were using was bad. The new should work." every time they send them in.

>>30342690
http://www.weaponevolution.com/forum/showthread.php?2774-Surefire-X400-Streamlight-TLR-2-Design-Summary
tl;dr: Surefire is objectively better built than Streamlight. If you aren't exposing it to extreme use the difference won't matter.

>>30342836
Shop around. I paid less than $200 shipped from OpticsPlanet during a sale a few months ago.

Oh wait. This is what 500 lumens looks like. I guess I accidentally bought the dual output version of the X-300, whoops!

So does their WML.

FML, I got one before I knew.

Is inforce really that bad? I remember people buying that travis haley inforce thing with everyone saying it sucks.
>>
>>30345251
>>30345272
Taking this photo would literally hurt my eyes on my x300u, there is something wrong with yours.
>>
>>30345462
Probably has to do with owning a shitty knockoff.
>>
>>30345439
it's airsoft tier garbage. Just buy a scoutlight.
>>30345251
>>30345272
looks like you have bad batteries.
>>
>>30345462
Maybe the newer version is better or just sucks. Yours bring hurting your eyes just might mean its defective. I mean who would make a light that hurts the user, why would you want to be blinded by something designed to protect you? If anything yours is defective and mine works like it was intended.
>>
>>30345475
Jokes aside, the batteries are fine. It's just that specific controls only have output issues. The foward and constant on for the right side of the light are flawless but momentary and constant on for the left side has output issues. I'm going to call surefire about this tomorrow.
