Things that make a lot of noise, little-to-no-noise, easy to handle, fully-automatic fun is what the epitome seems to be.
When it comes to pistols, compacts and sub compacts come to mind - reaching all of the controls is just as important for them. I've seen a lot of girls prefer non-slip rubber or Hogue grips.
Basically you can't go wrong with a 6920 or Tula krink build kit that you plan on SBR'ing, buying a QD flash hider/suppressor, maybe a comp on certain range days and ultimately want to make fully-automatic. I think if you buy one of the old Colt SP1s then lightening links can drop right in like they're meant to.
That or you can save up a metric ton of money, have the legal knowledge of a lawyer or the help of one, plus the patience of a monk and start looking at "machine gun" ads.
