The less pleasant side of that kind of argument though is the number of people who correlate 'not pandering' with 'maintain status quo'.
IE the people who say they're all for gay rights so long as gays aren't 'shoving it down our throats' which they qualify as 'doing anything that reveals gayness in any way'.

I'm gay and I've carried for a while. I was already convinced that we need guns for protection, but I can see how it helps convince other fags who are on the fence about the issue.
