Just wondering how easy would it be to make a shotgun from scratch? (I live in Australia)
literally just copy what you see here. Buy some pipe, hammer a nail through a piece of round wood, assemble it as shown.

The trick is to use a carriage nut and bolt as the breech face. Epoxy a nail for a firing pin and hold it in place with the handle bolt.

Second barrel = faster followup shots
twice the weight means it wasn't worth it in the long run. One works fine and breaks down well for transport.

Its easier to load it before firing. Extracting a spent shell can be a pain. Fix that.

A small groove just like the pic gives you purchase without sacrificing structure.
Its going to be hard to explain the twist lock trigger with out puppets and crayons or at least a non shit camera.
Take note: the barrel won't hit the breech face till it's twisted just right. Makes for a crisp snap instead of a trombone slide. Safer to move loaded too.
