What is the best AR under 800 dollarinos? My old man finally got approval from my mom to buy an ar after all the shit in orlando. I want him to get one that will last. Opinions pls.

Tbh if you spend over 600 you likely spent too much. I just built one for around 580 and I know I spent too much on some things. I reccomend buying a stripped lower, an lpk, wait for a reputable barrel to go on sale, etc.

Yay. The sport 2 is pretty nice. Never had a problem with mine. If you want some good optics (for cqb/long range) get the Monstrum 1-4x20. It is $75 shipped. With a year warranty. And is surprisingly good for the price point. Very clear glass, etched reticle, illuminated reticle, nitrogen sealed, stadiametric range finder and bdc out to 500yds. The bdc is set for 55gr 223 with a MV of 2800+/-fps.
