Not dicking around with suspenseful unboxing BS, just showing how it's packaged

Got a Cadwell bipod with the adjustable tilt for it.
>>
>>30301324
Also got some ammo for it, most I've ever paid for .22 per round.
>>
>>30301324
And it came with this in the box. Never had a gun come with a target before. Even a printout.
>>
>>30301324
Sexy af. Price?
>>
>>30301324
I put in an order for a 557 Sporter in 270 WIN earlier today.

Only problem I'm running into is finding aftermarket magazines and stocks for the 557 series.
>>
>>30301519
$550, but where I live shipping is killer and everyone is dildos on price, so I'm not gonna cry about MSRP

Gonna slap some Warren Tactical QD rings on it with an SWFA SS 6x42 scope

So, about to purchase my first handgun. I understand how rimfire works differently than centerfire, but are rimfire guns inferior? They tend to have a lower price tag which makes me shaky about dropping money on one of two I have my eye on. If it makes any difference the two I'm looking at are an M&P Compact and a Beretta m9 rimfire.
>>
>>30301554
Not sure if it's what you're looking for but Boyd's makes stocks for it.

>I'm not gonna cry about MSRP
How refreshing.
>>
>>30301593
They are commonly made of cheaper thinner and less precisely machined materials and parts. They don't need to handle centerfire pressure so they can get away with it. The rifle in >>30301371 feels like a .223 bolt action it's built so beefy. It depends on what you buy.

What you should avoid is a rimfire gun built to imitate a centerfire model. Get a 'ground up' rimfire gun that isn't made of zinc and plastic, both the options you listed are poor first handguns.

>>
>>30301559
Any reason you went with 6x? Seems like the 10x model or something would be better suited if you're looking for a bench gun.
>>
>>30301659
I'll honestly be pissed as shit if it groups that poorly at 50yds with Eley match, every review reports clover leafs.
>>
>>30301656
Well fuck. Thanks for your imput anon. The former marine I work with suggests a ruger, so maybe I'll look into one of those.
>>
>>30301668
I already own a 6x SWFA, I'll be taking it off my AR, putting it on here, then putting a 10x on my AR

I really like 6x as a compromise power and think it will suit the .22 well
>>
>>30301684
Ruger .22 pistols are kinda the standard, some are better, most are worse, few have the same aftermarket.

Get a used mkii or mkiii for cheap or get a 22/45 or something. Upgrade it as you learn.
>>
>>30301681
It's just a quick test at the factory to make sure the gun's not totally fuckered, not a proclamation of peak accuracy.
>>
>>30301754
Fair enough
>>
>>30301324
Oh, almost forgot, checked the trigger pull

>2.75lbs out of the box
But not as crisp as I was hoping, it will get upgraded eventually

>MFW it caught me by surprise fist time I dry fired it.
>>
>>30301896
Does the 455 have a set trigger? CZ's website just says "adjustable".
>>
>>30302477
CZ's adjustable triggers are adjustable for weight, travel and overtravel, but they aren't set triggers unless they actually say so.
>>
>>30302477
They only make a few models with set triggers. The 455 tactitarded is not one of them.
>>
>>30301896
>dry-fired it
uuuuuuuhhhhhhh.....
>>
>>30302871
There are some 22lr guns that are safe to dry fire. The 10/22 for instance, also the 455.
>>
>>30302569
>>30302817
Aw, I quite like it on my 527 and was hoping it was a pretty standard feature for their other rifles.
>>30302871
It's the current year, most new rimfires are safe to dry fire.
>>
>>30301324
I got a CZ 452 Trainer a while back. Amazing rifle. Get a USGI sling for yours and use it.
>>
>>30302871
Don't be a retard, what do you think I bought along with my Eley ammo?

>>30303009
Thanks for the suggestion, I was looking for a sling.
>>
Does anyone shoot .22 rifles competitively? Or shoot precision rifle?

There's literally nothing wrong with it.

OP, I recommend a DIP scope base so you can use some quality rings. You're going to be hard pressed to find quality scope rings in 11mm or 3/8" dovetail. In fact, CZ steel rings are the only decent quality rings on the market, and they are quite expensive and heavy. With a DIP base, you can use any 1913 rings. You can go as cheap as you want or as expensive as you want, and you can find whatever size and height you need instead of being limited to whichever CZ rings you can find in stock.
>>
>>30304085
I bought these, if there is an issue I'll try something new.

>>
>>30304375
Does anyone have experience with Warne rings?
>>
>>30304423
I've used the steel ones Leupold makes. They don't block sight of your elevation turret and they are solid.
>>
>>30304375
Oh shit, I found thise on amazon for $47
>>
>>30304423
I use Warne rings on a different (non-bolt) gun. They're good.
>>
>>30301593
The only good .22lr "handgun" is the ruger sr22
>>
>>30301681
I bought a cz455 in .17HMR about a month ago, and the printout that it came with has worse groups than that.

Turns out the rifle is sub-MOA at 100 yards.

tl;dr those printouts don't mean shit
>>
>>30301593
Beretta Neos is very easy to take care of.
>>
>>30308908
Thank god. Why do tgey even include those? Also, how do you like your rifle over all?

>>30307776
Git you dirty nigger.
>>
>>30301593
Between the two, M&P Compact is the better choice. Just make sure it's NOT the regular M&P 22.
>>
>>30310711
What's the difference?
>>
>>30312118
The full size mp22 is made my walther with shit parts. the compact is made my S&W, better parts. Just look at the pics on their website and you can see the difference
