Apparently he was involved in an altercation with another man - likely the other injured party, the MP who got shot attempted to intervene and defuse the situation. There was a scuffle, he pulled the gun and shot her twice or three times and stabbed her and the man in this scuffle. Then he walked off, calm as anything.
No shouting of slogans, or anything like that. The man who said that he shouted the slogan originally, Aamir Tahir, prefaced it by saying he wasn't even at the scene.
