Eh, my buddy's Mak-90 UF had one of those 74 style brakes, and it did a pretty good job of reducing recoil. But he still got himself a polytech slant brake to make it look less retarded.

Here's the set up
I got the largest plate they had as my back plate, it's flat and has the fragment catching feature.
The front plate is also the largest one with the same fragmentation catching feature but it's curved.
I got the back plate flat since when in not using my vest I went ahead and stuffed the plate in my backpack to take to school as a makeshift bullet proof vest
