I just don't get it. I want a sub2k. I will shoot ~100 rounds of my preferred brands through it, clean it, put it in my trunk, and hopefully never need to touch it again.
It's a fucking sub2k. That's all they exist for. Why waste your time putting all this shit on a rifle that is utterly incapable of performing as well as its peers in any metric that isn't "fold up and go away"?

a lot of them have that Red Lion rotating forend that locks in place, so everything can rotate out of the way when you fold it.
not condoning the bubbaship, just saying. If I got my hands on one of these I'd probably get that as well (or a rotating sight mount like >>30295211 though I hate the fact that you need to tie the charging handle back so it doesn't accidentally smash into your sight).

I have the gen2 and I got it because I live in a small apartment so space is a premium and I didn't want jump through ppp hoops at the time. It lives in a drawer and the only thing I've put on it is a red dot on a quick release riser. Only future plan I have for it is to swap out the peep rear sight for a flip down notch sight.
It's a fun gun to shoot and it's convenient to haul around but I agree, it's never going to be your best gun. All the tacticool attachments are just a waste of money. Like suping up an old beater.

You guys can shit on the sub2000 all you want. I personally don't own one, but it's the ideal weapon for an urban based raceway, especially if you live in a bad (black) area. The sub2000 can accept standard glock and keltech magazine which is what pretty much 70% of minorities use

One is that the company is really an aerospace company and only makes guns between aerospace contracts.
The other is that they just suck at production. Some guns, like the small pistols, they can crank out. The interesting stuff? You pay a lot of money to test it out until they recall it.

This, they won't acuire buisness debt in the form of loans to scale production, this means the company can only grow so fast.
In otherwords they are ultra-conservative fiscally. On the one hand i dont agree with their fiscal stance when it comes to buisness and think they could make more(you have to spend money to make money) as well as better fill demand, but on the other hand i can respect the fact that they are deplbptora to no one and don't have to answer to anyone other than demand and maintaining a profit.
Why they allow people to resell their wares uber expensive instead of just marking up their product to meet market price minus wholesaler middleman profits is beyond me.
