Not with demand for the SCAR so high internationally that FN cant keep up with demand.
The HK is a fine rifle (reverse shelfmod aside), but its not a death knell for the SCAR.

FN has a poor track record with supporting guns. Even widely popular guns like the FNC have parts that are essentially impossible to get.
The SCAR in 7.62 is a very limited production product in comparison. Not to mention it wasn't farmed out to a myriad of other companies like the FNC was.
Also note the F2000 lineup. Good luck servicing that gun and it just barely went out of production a few years ago.

FN was only half assed in the US civilian market until about 10 years ago. Few FNCs were brought into the country, and those were brought in, what, thirty years ago? There is little market demand for support for it in the civilian market.
The F2000 didnt sell very well, so it got killed off. Again, no market demand = not much support. The lines that do well, get support. The SCAR does well domestically and abroad.

Yes. There is a glut of G36 parts in the country right now. You can buy complete parts kits for the very common conversion.
Additionally, HK and a dozen or so companies produce products and even new rifles for their roller locked series guns in 9mm, 300blackout, 5.56, and 7.62.
The reality is, H&K is FAR better than FN ever was at supporting their guns. The only shitty support by H&K has to do with their cobranded shotguns and boutique hunting rifle line.
