Let's get a thread going on /k/ books. I'm wanting to learn about medieval warfare. Mainly large scale strategy and tactics, but some individual weapon use would be cool too. Can anyone recommend some good reading?

I'm reading A Distant Mirror:The Calamitous 14th Century by Barbara Tuchman, there's some good info on the Hundred Years War
Anything from Osprey publishing. You can get a lot of their books in pdf form for free if you just look on google. Pic related.
Bumping for this
Maurice Keen, Chivalry.

Maurice Keen, Medieval Warfare.
This one is pretty good, too. There are a number of used copies that you can get for around $3, shipping extra.
Best,

Or you can take a nice visit to /tg/ /hwg/ threads. There's a nice anon there who has most of their stuff uploaded and will post anything you want if it's not in there.

It's a short glaive according to the book the picture is from.
Anyone got anything about tanks I need more tank shit.

Tigers in the Mud by Otto Carius was pretty good.
Not tanks, but I reccommend Fireforce by Chris Cocks, which gives a glimpse into the air mobile infantry of the Rhodesian Bush War.
On my shelf to be read are House to House about clearing Fallujah, and Storm of Steel which is about WW1.
For fiction, I haven't read much, but Crecy and The Fort by Cromwell were pretty good historical fiction.
What about book operators?
