That was my first pistol.
Its striker fired, no hammer involved, like you would see on a revolver or a 1911.
Its got two safteys, both are negated with a good shooting grip, meaning it wont go off unless your actually pointing it at something.
The cocking indicator is on the back, lets you know when the striker is back, and ready to fire. It can be seen and felt.
The loaded chamber indicator is in the middle on the top, lets you know when you have a round chambered. You can have it cocked without having a round in the chamber. But you cant have a round in and it not be cocked.
Id go with a 9mm first, and the xdm models are better in that they fire semi wad cutter bullets, but thats only important to me because i reload.

It works fine, I've never had an issue with wolf ammo. I have since upgraded to Golden Tiger but would gladly use wolf if it was all that was available.
