A diffrence in the color of flame would be a diffrence in powder / propellant .
A muzzle device would only disperse the exiting flame and escaping gasses to extinguish itself of slow gasses to produce a slower "smoke effect"

Could you coat the inside of a muzzle brake with something, so that the flames would change colour? Maybe a copper salt for green flames.

When you fill up the MURDER-METER you rock the gun up and it will turn the muzzle flash blue and help you through those tough trickshot solos.
