I had something somewhat similar happen-
cruising armslist this winter, looking for large lots of reloading items. I see a listing for $1200, a couple small blurry pictures of boxed up shit and 15 some ammo cans. Pretty vague description. Ended up talking to the guy, his grandfather passed and this was all the stuff him and his brother didnt want. he said there was too much to start going through but gave me a good general idea of what was there. I knew I'd be able to sell off half of it and recoup my money. I took a quick look, made sure that it was worth it and we started loading my truck bed up. It filled the entire bed and some inside truck cab. one of the last ammo cans was very heavy, atleast 140 pounds 20mm can. opened it up- all sorts of bullets he said, ooh i forgot to mention those. then he pulls out a 50 cal can full of 45 ammo and said I could have it if I wanted. I wasnt jumping up and down excited about it until I got home and noticed it was a thousand rounds of new ammo headstamped 1942 in perfect condition. I was under the assumption they were reloads and I would pull them all.
anyways all in all, I paid 1100 and ended up parting out most everything for a total of $6100. Bought myself a 500 s&w magnum, a beretta 92, everything needed to get started loading those calibers as well as about three grand profit in my pocket.

>2,000 each of 223, 8mm, 45, 32
>Literally two 5 gallon sealed buckets full to the brim with unfired pulldown LC 30-06 brass

>lots of equipment. three presses, bullet casting stuff, primer pocket swagers, 12 die sets, everything and anything.
A couple months prior I found a smaller lot for $1,000. Sold off enough to more than break even and kept $1500 worth of crap I needed. Primers, bullets, brass, dies...
UPDATE:There where some Thompson mags in there as well. I don't have myself a tommy so it seems like I need to get one.
