Hey /k/
I currently use Break Free CLP for both solvent and lube for my guns.
I was wondering what /k/ uses for solvent and lube.
I just have a feeling that using Break Free for bother solvent and lube isn't optimal
>>
It's not optimal, but I'm lazy so i do it anyway.

On the subject of cleaning?
Can anyone recommend a good pistol cleaning set?
I've got this shitty one that came on a piece of plastic and I'd like something that has a real case and high quality tools
>>
Unless you've got some severe lead fouling going on CLP will handle everything just fine. It's biggest advantage, it's just fucking convenient.

I don't use it as lube though, shit runs like a fag from a nightclub.

I've a stupid question
I got my first gun recently(CZ P-07) and when I pull the slide, I hear a lot of metal on metal scraping.
Is that normal?
It just feels like I never really heard that scraping before.
Am I not lubing properly?
I sprayed the lube on the gun and wiped it down with a microfiber cloth. I also put grease on the gun rails.

An old toothbrush and 9/40/45 boresnake are all you'll need forever.

It just needs worn in. Those contact points will polish themselves up as you shoot it.

Has a very pungent odor.

Hoppe's #9 and Hoppe's gun oil, like all true Americans since time immemorial.
>>
Try automatic transmission fluid for fouling AND lube

Also motor oil works if you want a a stand alone lube

You can also make a concoction called Redds or Reds (the formula is online) with different base ingredients but I think its just too complicated and I dont leave my guns so dirty I need to use strong solvents

Few questions.

Looking into getting another .22 since I am giving my Ruger 10/22 to my friend. Going for a CZ 455 with 25' barrel. I'll be buying this gun from Bud's Gunshop. Can they be trusted or should I just buy from the CZ-USA?

What is a good gun cleaning kit I can get online? I use my friend's kit for my rifles since I keep them at his house.

I use a patchworm for my 22lr. Go check it out.

My CCL instructor had a dark and shady career with the government, he was like an OG operator type, and he cleaned my gun with some spray he said you can get at Wal-Mart and it was fucking hot shit. My gun was white glove clean.

It's called non chlorinated brake cleaner. Works like a charm.
