It's all likely to pass the committees and then pass along party lines in a general vote.

We need to start a ballot initiative that would require legislators to be the ones to collect the guns when confiscation happens.
>>
>>30272661
just opened it, ghost guns de leon is talking in the assembly about something to due with registration
>>
>>30272910
oh it's a bill requiring people to apply for a serial number and put it on any gun they manufacture, would also retroactively require they put a serial number on any guns that do not already have one.

of course it allows them to charge a fee for requesting a serial number.

It seems that there are no better than the senators who through marriage under the bus...

Dude, you're in driving distance of like 5 states with A) some of the lowest costs of living in the US, B) some of the most lax gun laws in the US, and C) some of the lowest crime rates in the US. They also aren't running out of water. I see a no-brainer here.
>>
>>30273334
It went to state ballot initiative and passed (passing meant opposite sex marriage only) and it went to the state supreme court who then overturned it. Judge who wrote the opinion and helped overturn it was a gay activist.
>>
>>30273389
Well fucking shit, this states hates you and take away everyone rights.

Other states, please never visit california please.

>>
>>30273031
We voted against it. The legislation was overturned by a faggot Federal judge who proceeded to marry his faggot boyfriend. First we, then the rest of the country had this shoved down our throats with a judicial toilet plunger.

Any road, when you get rid of the old taboos you need new ones. I've been told this is elementary psychology. What you're seeing is cause and effect. Kids getting castrated with state funding = good. Illegal aliens getting driver's licenses and state funded auto insurance = good. Anybody shacking up with anybody else and calling it marriage = good. Exercising a Constitutionally guaranteed right = bad.

This is the entire country in ten-fifteen years, unless you start fighting to salvage something.

I wasn't talking about shooting either, dipshit. I'm talking about how to fight them. We've done all we could and it is not helping. We have no means of legal recourse left since the courts are all as progressive as the legislators and the voters. We have an unrecoverable minority view in CA as gun owners and it will only get worse.

I hate that I can agree with you ideologically almost 100% yet think you are a massive faggot.

Bills to be heard in the Assembly include:

SB 880 (Hall): Bans common and constitutionally protected firearms that have magazine locking devices.
SB 894 (Jackson): Re-victimizes victims by criminalizing the failure to report lost and stolen firearms.
SB 1235 (de Leon): Restrictions on ammunition purchases, creates a DOJ database of ammunition owners.
SB 1407 (de Leon): Retroactively requires serial numbers to be placed on firearms dating back at least 50 years.
SB 1446 (Hancock): Confiscation of lawfully acquired, standard capacity ammunition feeding devices.
SB 1006 (Wolk): University of California taxpayer funding for gun control research. (This bill will be heard the same day in the Assembly Committee on Higher Education.)

Bills to be heard in the Senate include:

AB 1664 (Levine): Bans common and constitutionally protected firearms that have magazine locking devices.
AB 1673 (Gipson): Redefines “firearms” to include items that are not firearms.
AB 1674 (Santiago): Bans buying more than one firearm within a 30-day period.
AB 1695 (Bonta): Creates a new non-violent misdemeanor that leads to a firearms prohibition.
AB 2607 (Ting): Dramatically expands who can request a “Gun Violence Restraining Order”.

>>
This guy speaking sounds like Ronald Reagan
>>
>>30274271
They specifically stated that it's not unconstitutional because people are allowed to sell their magazines out of state before they're legally obligated to destroy them.

Right now people are literally lying about the bullet button being against the "intent of the bill". They keep calling it a loophole, despite it being named explicitly in the bill. They also lie about the San Bernadino shooting using the bullet button, when it didn't.
>>
>>30272446
No it isn't.

Progressive liberalism is systemic, not endemic. It crops up everywhere, it has nothing to do with Californians or New Yorkers polluting other state. I guarantee that the amount of Californians moving to your state is less than 3% of your state's population per year. Probably less than 2% (as it is in my state of Oregon).

Californians aren't drawn out of California because they want a hostile (to them) political climate, they are drawn out because a comfortable political environment for them ALREADY EXISTS IN YOUR STATE.
>>
>>30274292
Of course. They can virtue signal to the militant faggot brigade and kick the red-state bipeds in the nuts at the same time. We got disenfranchised when they handed out drivers' licenses to three million illegal beaners and registered them to vote, so we don't exactly count, and it's fun to beat on us. Duh.

Two sets of gun control going on right now in California.

Newsom, running for govnar is getting his Ammo registration and Bullet Button+detachable mag centerfire rifle ban bills onto ballot to be voted on.

Other CA dems told him to stop and to work with them over it. Newsom said no.

Now the 2nd set of gun bills, that lovely list of 11, written by all the butthurt dems, were railroaded through legislation and now all of them are on the current governor's desk. These 11 bills also has an identical ammo bill and bullet button/mag bill.

In other words, liberal politicians are having a a dick swinging contest and the 2nd Amendment suffers.

Somewhere in the Balkans after the Russians left, an AK factory or armory got taken over by townspeople and all the rifles just disappeared. Years later order was restored (more or less) and a peaceful but anti-gun regime took power. The vast majority of those AK's were put into the attics and floor boards of the people who raided the facility. A few were sold to to Middle East and the like but every person from that town has a weapon or two and ammo squirreled away just in case.

And so it will be in CA.

California is what happens when you let gay progressives and immigrants take over.

It's literally a template for the entire US.

Good job guys, banning everything will make it magically disappear, meanwhile lets keep that border wide open with Mexico too, what could possibly go wrong.

because most of you other faggots wont join the NRA to give more money to lawyers to do this shit

>SB 1235 (de Leon): Restrictions on ammunition purchases, creates a DOJ database of ammunition owners.
Which DOJ? Cali or federal, cause federal weapons related databases are unlawful. The Cali database is likeley unconstitutional as well.

Can I still buy stripped lowers and build my own?
>>
>>30279068
Yes but they must be fully compliant.

That doesn't quickly answer the question though.
Does Cali have an official DOJ that is creating this database or will the US Federal DOJ be doing it.

You doubt her ability to shit on the constitution anon? Google the shit she has said about the Constitution. Literally Google "What's your excuse for carrying 9 mm?" sand shit brix.

Yes. They already handle our special snowflake background check system -- the FBI model wasn't good enough.

its going to be impossible to make them compliant, thats the problem. the law is basically outlawing centerfire semi auto rifles

NRA is dumping a shit-ton of money into lobbying efforts against Newsom and the gut-and-amend bills, both directly and by proxy through the CRPA.

There is no lawsuit that can be filed until these or the initiative pass. Even then it's iffy whether litigation will work. The California Supreme Court is heavy with progressives who'll uphold all of this stuff, e.g., they held up on appeal for years a successful NRA lawsuit that struck down a handgun ammo law to the point that it will be mooted by one of these bills when they finally issue a decision. The federal courts are equally a no-win situation: the only semi-gun friendly district court is the Eastern District, with a high likelihood of losing on appeal in the Ninth and no backstop now with the Supreme Court because of Scalia's death.

NRA is trying to make a stand in Caliifornia before any of this shit becomes law, but the odds are long. The best bet is getting in the governor's ear because he likes guns, and he was heavily involved in okaying the bullet button when he was AG, but as someone said before, he's a lame duck, so who knows if he'll veto bills this time that he did last time.

We let too many mexicans in and fucked up the state, and country, for good.

Thanks for helping disprove the meme.

Just because we're continually going up shit creek doesn't mean the NRA hasn't been helping.

They should honestly just split California in half.

Norcal. Socal.

North California is alright.

What they need to do is unfuck the voting districts. Also fix that retarded winner takes all deal we have going with electoral votes.

>Providing state politicians with tax money
Unless you're there draining their welfare you should just kill yourself
>>
>>30284629
Not that anon but how about you kill yourself, or better yet move your ass to California and vote with us. I live here and I vote Republican (for the judge appointments) every election and we usually lose by fairly narrow margins. Clinton had only about 500,000 more votes than Trump by the numbers during the primary, obviously can't find carry the state during the general election but I'll put my one vote there too. Bet you don't vote or worse still place a totally wasted vote for Gary asshole Johnson who would have never won the presidency even before pissing off all the gun guys over the gift gun. You probably sit in Arizona surrounded by similar minds while the filth that infiltrated us slowly infects you as well, as California goes so goes the nation at a slower rate, and once Hillary appoints a couple more "Wise Latina's" to the supreme Court your rights will be as worthless as mine. Move out here and join the struggle rather than talk shit and wish for the state to slide into the ocean, despite at least one third of the state being pro-gun, maybe didn't notice this is a California thread. Pretty sure my massive paycheck's federal taxes help out some of those red states.

>He said the shooting was orchestrated to ban weapon like this
>Said that we can't give up this right and the host kept on saying muh salt rifle why would a anyone need a salt rifle

Probably go to every house that owns a firearm capable of taking hi-cap mags.

It'd be stupid, ineffective, and extremely expensive, but that's how they'd try to do it.

I'll stay here but I can assure you there's people coming your way, Mexicans and Asians, and lately Muslim Eritrean janjaweed have appeared clogging our streets. Once they get a foothold here they bring over their extended families who will need breathing room of their own and spread your way, only a matter of time. I travel the country and I'm sure you're at least noticing more Mexicans in your home state than when you were growing up, and they aren't going to vote the way your kids and grandkids will. Thank you for your support though, encourage barely minority pro-gun owners to move out and abandon the most important state in the union. If we had even just one million more Trump voters he'd probably win California.
