A5 appreciation thread
Clones welcome.
Just got a Belgian made one for $399.
What to expect?

For you to fuck off Faggot. Told you to get an AR
>>30269836
Go to bed, faggot.
You have wagecuck shit to do tomorrow.
Always wanted one, even if it was a model 11. They're beautiful and its reputation speaks for itself hold on to that shit anon, give it to your children and teach them right enough not to sell it to some bubba for $200
>>30269771
Very good and welcome to the club.
>>30269771
The worst recoil of any shotgun I've ever fired. My 16ga feels worse than a 10ga.
>>30270001
Is your spring worn? Is your brass friction ring set correctly? My 12 is comfy.
>>30269954
Will do, tovarisch.
Will do.
>>30270001
I've read that they kick like the donkey balls.
Anyone know much about the Double Auto?
They used to be really popular in NZ, as game laws only allowed 2 shots.
Rather than risk throwing your 8 rounder in the swamp when the ranger came knocking, most men just resisted the temptation and got one of these.
>>30270008
No clue. 16ga isn't exactly common and it's not something I shoot often. But it's the worst recoil in gun I own.
>>30270105
Worse than a pump action twelve? I thought autoloaders were supposed to have LESS recoil?
>>30270105
Something's wrong, Auto 5 recoil is extremely smooth in any caliber.
Cutting the barrel to 13".
Shits gonna be pretty.
Pretty sacrilege.
>>30272476
Please don't
>>30272476
>cutting the barrel
Why not just buy an aftermarket? I really want to SBS my A5 (with the proper paperwork) but I'm sure as shit not going to bubba my old Belgian.
>>30272476
Isn't the barrel, like, an important part of the action on the a5? Would cutting it in half cause ftf/fte?
>>30272517
No. It just takes some adjustment to account for the reduced mass of the barrel, same way you would adjust for heavier or lighter loads.
>>30269771
Remington Model 11s allowed? Made in 1909.
>>30272493
NO
>>30272511
Aftermarket what, barrel? A barrel is getting cut one way or another and it's never going to be in anyone else's possession so long as I'm alive.
>>30272596
Ok, but when you die your heir might fucking hate you for cutting the original barrel.
Original parts like to stay that way, unless you're a fucking idiot.
>>30272588
Welcome welcome.
How often do you shoot her?
>>30272666
Never. The fore stock is breaking apart.
>>30272613
Explain, rationally, why it's a problem.
It's still the original part. I get that it's a classic gun, but there are millions of them, but there's nothing wrong with modifications.
Personally I think they look much better with flush barrels.
