For shotguns I find it fun to just go to pawn shops/gun stores that sell used guns until I find something cool.

That's how I got my (now) favorite shotgun ever, a Winchester Ranger 120. Points perfectly and the action is as smooth as butter, plus I like how it looks but I don't feel the need to baby it.

yea everyone sells the coach gun with its 20 inch barrels but i have never seen an "uplander' in the wilder. I want those 28 inch barrels m8!
>>
I've got a stoeger o/u and it's a piece of shit desu

regret the purchase and would like to sell it

the finish is ugly / low quality

the wood isn't flush with receiver and it pops / clicks if you squeeze it

it's the single trigger model (noob mistake; NEVER buy a single trigger) and it misfires frequently

>NEVER

and sometimes it won't fire at all

Hell yeah. That's why i've been really feeling a Stoeger at this point. You can find them for fairly cheap and abuse the hell out of them from what I hear. And 120s are fantastic, what did you pay?
>>
>>30267682
man, that's a bummer dude. i've never dug single trigger doubles. they just seem to have way too much going on mechanically

Great scatter gats. But triggers are sub par. For the money they are pretty nice

>>30267631

$120 from a pawn shop, choke was rusted in and the bluing was kinda fucked on the barrel but I fixed the choke with PB Blaster/slip-joint pliers and the bluing isn't something that looks bad at first glance. Action is perfect though.

I have a Stoeger coach gun. I've only shot it a few times, since I mostly bought it as a novelty, but if you get one be prepared to do some work to it. It gets so stuff you have to break it over your knee to get it to open up once you start shooting it. There's several writeups on cleaning it up and making it smooth. I don't own a dremel, but I'll be getting one soon and doing some polishing on certain surfaces.

Otherwise I don't think the quality is bad, though I haven't handled any other comparable shotguns to compare. I just bought it for the lulz, and it does satisfy those needs, it's also the shortest longgun I own and that's pretty fun

That's weird senpai, you must have gotten a lemon or something. My stoeger works fine, and wood is really high quality i think. Mine has never misfired, only problem is i bent an ejector when i accidentally closed the action one time without completely releasing the lock(?). Other than that the gun is great, i shoot skeet with it.

I own one and I enjoy it. It's pretty fun to shoot. My advice, get the model with to triggers because pulling both at the same time is awesome. Replace the firing pins and the spring on the release to stainless steel pins and a reduced tension spring. The after market stainless firing pins fix a very very common problem with the stoeger double barrels. The right barrel misfires about %10 of the time, I had this problem and the new firing pins fixed the issue.

Or you could buy an old quality double, do the same stuff, and have a much nicer gun. My uncle bought an old ass german SbS and refinished it and its nice ass hell.

for those of you complaining about single trigger guns, a reliable single trigger gun is signifigantly harder to do mechanically, and concequently if you buy a cheap single trigger doublegun it's pretty likely that you're going to be dissappointed. don't buy cheap doubleguns. hand fit parts don't grow on trees and paying skilled craftsman to put together guns that will effortlessly withstand thousands of rounds per season ain't cheap either.

I've handled and shot the stoeger coachgun, they're "inexpensive" and that's about the only good thing I can say about them. it's neat only if you've never handled an average or better quality double, side by side you'd have little trouble seeing how rough the stoeger is and all the little details where compromises were made to save costs; things like the lack of ejectors, where you break the gun open and get only disappointment (ejectors are another precision mechanism that typically requires hand-fit parts and skilled craftsman)

if you only care about getting a cheap meme gun that will generally go bang when you pull the trigger, then by all means don't let me dissuade you, but personally I think you'd be much better served by looking for a decent quality used double made anywhere from the turn of the century up to the 1970's, there's an enormous variety of perfectly serviceable, well built older guns out there

good luck OP, I'm off to bed

Whats up fellow WA bro?

I bought the Stoeger M3000 back in 2014 when it first came out.. ordered the 24" barrel model.

> Works great
> Paid $550, $500 after mail in rebate.
> Lots of recoil but shoots whatever I feed it.

The new Stoeger M3K is pretty good too. I recommend it, they got bought out by Benelli.

Pic related, the Stoeger M3K, 24" barrel
