My 227 is getting surface rust on the slide release and decocker (from CC'ing). Pretty bummed about it, thinking about painting the thing to prevent it from getting any worse but the locations seem troublesome.
Any of you guys have experience in dealing with this shit?

The trigger on my German 226 has some rust inside but it's partially my fault for not greasing it.
As for external parts, I would say cerakote it or even talk to Sig about it. It's bs for a new Sig to have rust issues. How the hell do you even manage to cc a 227?

I had a colt 1911 I cc for a while I ended up coating it in frog lube after it sat in the az sun for about an hour did that about once a month and it never had rust issues again.
