I have an idea- Combat vehicle OC Thread. Only pics you've taken yourself.
Taken yesterday
Another look at the B-25.
I don't have much hope for this thread. But I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

My grandfather flew one of those. Good to see that people are still interested in the old birds.

Yeah, they were offering rides for 425 bucks for about 20 minutes of flight. A tad rich for my blood- but a WW2 vet got to ride in one, so Its cool.
The driver of the jelly Belly Cadet was a trip and a half. There were wind gusts of 30mph and he handled that thing like a drunken boxer. Cartwheels, tumbles, break-away fake ailerons and tires, multiple wing scrapes on the runway, near hovers and landed on a goddamn U-Haul. I swear to God its stall speed is slower than I can walk.

I really like the lighting of this one. All four were taken at the same airport.
I've got a few from an incentive flight

Here's a shitty pic of the F-86 at the Air National Guard station just down the street from me. Literally drove down there at almost midnight to get a pic of it for this thread.
>>30268290
That is not an F-86 nor a real aircraft. Sorry. There's already a F-86 in this thread.

What? It's a gate guardian A-7. How is that not "a real aircraft"?
>>30268633
>>30268547
If it were real the un-powered forward slats would be in a lowered position like in >>30268633.
Other than that, it looks weird like most static aluminum body display models do.

Gate guardians are modified to looks like they're flying, it isn't uncommon at all for them to have their control surfaces/slats held in place as if they were in flight. I can pretty much guarantee you that the A-7 in that pic was just an old ANG A-7 they put on a post.
>>30269115
I'll agree to disagree, at the least. I have seen quite a few static display models which are just shapes.
>>30269342
I know exactly what you're talking about, but they just look like that due to shitty paint, UV exposure, and poor maintance. They're probably stripped internally but they're definately "real aircraft"
>>30269362
Well, I'm talking about ones which are plainly not real (as in, I've seen inside of them) or are made of wood. The stripped down ones are usually taken better care of in my experience, because they look much nicer without all to hatches and rivets painted over.
