In light of the nations deadliest shooting, I feel like we need a thread where we can all contribute our pro-gun arguments and statistics. Image micros, research, quotes, anything is welcome. The only thing I have to contribute unfortunately is this huge Google-Doc countering some arguments but I don't know if it's the best. Remember that when arguing with liberals, we should do so with gentleness and respect as to not antagonize them.

Remind them that violent crime, including murder, is actually in decline, and that the corporate-controlled media is just sensationalizing tragedy so that they can exploit it for viewership.
Remind them that many of these media conglomerates are also complicit in this violence by profiting from movies, video games, and TV shows that depict the usage of reckless use of firearms in simulated violence.
Also bring up the fact that the notion of gun violence is inherently deceptive, and shifts focus away from equal justice for all victims of all violent crime (for instance, beatings, stabbings, and rapes) to favor specific political platforms.

Rarely do you ever hear anyone calling for a ban on handguns. This is generally because most people see they have a genuine use for self defense and they don't immediately come to mind when they hear the phrase "mass shooting."
Instead, they call for the banning of "high capacity" magazines and "assault rifles/ weapons" knowing full well they mean semi auto rifles and as the infograph states, calling for the banning of these types of weapons would be pointless and solve nothing.
