Favorite shotgun action to use?

Depends...
I duck hunt with semi, anything else is hunted with a pump action of rifle.
I prefer the feel of pump above everything else when dicking around at the range, but for a gunfight/HD scenario I'd prefer a semi auto.
My first shotgun was a single shot, bolt action 12 gauge, so those hold a place in my heart as well.
First shotgun was a break action, they will always be my favorite
all of them
this coz my brother who's in the milsimitary has two of them, one in a holster and the other with a scope

Lever actions are the coolest, break actions are for poorfags or snobby trap shooters, pump action is best all around, semi is great when it works, and bolt action shotguns don't really exist anymore.

honestly why wasn't it made semi and sold to civilians
>>30246220
Because it is massive, expensive, I would assume heavy as hell, and offers no benefit over a saiga 12 gauge.

Bolts are still pretty common. At least where I'm from.
I've got my great grandpadre's bolt gun. I'm sure it's taken the lives of many a rabbit/tree rat/lots of other critters.
I bought my brother his first 12 ga which happened to be a bolt.
They're pretty cheap, and usually work well enough. If you've got 120 bucks and don't really want a single shot and can't find anything else, bolt guns can be had for close to that if you look around.

Bolt action shotguns are more common in states that require shotguns for deer hunting. Like Illinois, Iowa, Ohio,Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Delaware, Maine, and Rhode Island.

Its recoil reduction system is the only real benefit

None of the above.

Elegant as fuck. Still would consider it a break action for the bourgeois.
>>30246746
If anything it's closer to a bolt action.
>>30246773
>no rotating bolt

Bolt action shotguns can also be .410 bore conversion on older milsurps with shot (pun intended) barrels.
>>30246746
It's slide action. The barrels aren't on a hinge like a break action are.
