Firstly I need something for in my room, something for in my backpack and something for all time carry.
I was thinking a baseball bat for my room, a foldable baton for my backpack and a knife or pepper spray on-person carry.

Hello Slovenebro. I am US diaspora. Buy a US "T-Ball" bat. They are short, and light, and your swing speed can get fast as fuck with one. Secondly, get a "little league" bat. These usually have a barrel that is 28"-32" long and less than 20 ounces. You can have an extremely fast swing speed with one and even sell it off as a recreational item. These are all aluminum alloys, by the way. Aside from that, I'd say get a heavy leather belt with metal inserts and buckle, and whatever knife/pepper spray your country allows.

To answer your question, a baseball bat would be good for your room defense since you can't (I'm assuming it's not an option at all) have a gun. As for backpack and on your person, I'd say a knife would be the best for both of those. Chances are if you're in a situation where you'd need to pull out a baton, you'd probably be able to deploy a knife more quickly and also more reliably subdue your attacker (blood loss from stabbing will put anyone down after enough is lost, someone on drugs or something could probably ignore being beaten with a baton).

I still coach baseball and if you need any advice on bats I'll let you know. Generally, the longer the reach the better off you are and the bat diameter should be small. You build momentum and it is a solid alloy to strike with.
Anywho, I'm glad I've graduated from using my old baseball bats next to doors and have pistols in drawers by each door instead. My grandmother from Radovljica used to mess with me about gun ownership.

Skallagrim gave a good piece of advice. Take up historical re-enactment, have a blunt training sword. It's essentially a steel club but with all the intimidation factor of a real sword. It's not an actual weapon, any more than a boken or hockey stick, and sparring with it will give you some skill using it. Probably make you some new and interesting friends, too.
No zweihanders, you want something you can use indoors.
If that doesn't suit you, you could get a realistic-looking airsoft or BB gun and try to bluff. But that might get you shot by the cops. If you want something that can do actual damage, consider a slingshot and ball bearings. You can make one tomorrow out of hardware store materials. It won't be pretty, but it'll be smallish and cheap enough you won't mind ditching it if there's trouble.
