SxS has a classic cool look to it, even better with hammers. Over and unders just reek of trap shooting and stuff I have no interest in, I like pump actions but don't really care about semi autos. I'm a fudd when it comes to shotguns but that's only because I like old fashioned looks, I really have no use for a shotgun. I haven't fired mine in years.

O/U is a better design, SxS is sexy as fuck though
From what I understand, the O/U's design lends itself better to having ejectors and single triggers and a few other things so you get more for your money, slimmer fore end is comfier too.
Shooting foxes with my grandfathers SxS is a lot more satisfying though

I've shot thousands of clays. the idea you need to adjust for windage on a double barrel is hilarious. I aim down the sight for both shots and it works just fine.
Adjusting for windage is ridiculous.
In my opinion over/under guns are more of a status thing. They are more expensive and harder to manufacture. Side by side still gets the job done just fine and is much cheaper to make.

It's still perfectly accurate. The important thing is that the sight is parallel with the barrel. Which it is.
The fact the sight is 45 degrees offset from the barrel bore is irrelevant. It is still much closer to the bore than any rifle scope. Parallax error doesn't come into effect at shotgun ranges.

Um as someone with a Physics degree I really have to protest the explanation for the airfoil. The air above a wing does not actually move all that much faster, this is a myth. They still tell kids this shit for some reason, but it's been long debunked.
Basically the top of the wing has a low pressure zone because of the shape. The air flows around the wing, but gets sucked into the space behind the initial edge. Sort of like how a truck driving in the wind has a low pressure zone behind it, thus the air bends around the truck and gets sucked behind it creating "eddies" (that actually decrease it's efficiency) on the highway. This low pressure zone accounts for some of the lift.
Because of the way the wing and the air interact, the wing is a little bit "sticky" with the air. This means that the air sticks to the wing, sliding off the back of it. This creates a powerful downdraft of air that forces the plane upward, not including the pressure differential, this downdraft accounts for roughly half of the lift the plane experiences
You can see this effect yourself. Open up the tap on the sink slightly so you have a slow steady stream of water. Then hold your finger up to the stream. You will see that when you touch the stream, some of the water will bend and flow around your finger. You can then pull your finger away from the stream and watch to see how far you can go before the water no longer clings to you
When the wing gets tilted at too extreme an angle, the air blowing over the wing crosses the point of no return and loses it "stickiness" with the wing. This is what causes the plane to stall. There is no more downdraft, therefore lift drops substantially and the plane falls from the air
But yeah the Bernoulli effect is not the right explanation, although it is an important effect that you may have learned something about in school. Unfortunately the true "Bernoulli equation" is a little more complicated than you might have been taught (pic related)

If you mean double barreled rifles, those are expensive because regulating two rifle barrels to hit similarly is a lot fucking harder than two shotgun barrels, where you have a larger margin.
Double rifles don't really do anything that normal rifles don't, but they're a lot of work to make, hence why they're expensive, and because they're inherently expensive by design, it's only logical that you'd put effort into making it a deluxe item.
Typically, they're a status symbol, but some countries don't allow repeaters or automatics, so consider that.
