Go on, Kill this with your tank in WW2? It's very slow and shouldn't be a threat.

That's a nice moving build you have there, be a shame if a toilet dropped on it.

Just get rid of supply chain, crew will give up at some point.

That thing would eat monstrous amounts of fuel. And god forbid a B25 or B17 saw that thing lumbering across an open stretch of land.

Don't get me wrong, I love 40K tier war machines as well, but this would have been a bitch to field and protect.
>>
Why don't they build something like this to fight ISIS? No harder to build than a small ship.

Biggest issue
>Why the fuck does the MG port just have a smaller cannon?

Plan of attack
>use Churchill Crocodile and spray down where I guess the engine is
>hope that logically fuel is stored near the engine
>hope that the flamethrower can create heat great enough to cause combustion I'm the fuel tank
>cook them with their own fuel and ammo
>>

>the thunderous ratte towers over the landscape

>as it gets larger, the crew starts to notice it

>no it's P47
>crew not worried, ze german wunderwaffen imperviousschnitzelpanzer shall protecten us
>P47 flies overhead and zooms off
>suddenly "CLANK, CRASH" is heard
>crew climbs on top
>finds a toilet with message "YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID" written on it
>crew abandons and blows ratte

What if it could just shoot down the bomber?
>>
>>30236972
That would require air superiority which the Luftwaffe had lost by 1943
>>
>>30236997
Also, that implies that *a* bomber is a thing, rather then five or ten or a thousand.

Clink Crunch Klang! Thats all it takes for an AD-4 to drop more ordnance than a B-17 on your Beautiful Wonder Weapon, How do you protect your glorious Krupp Steel from getting BTFO by this beast?

Get close, shoot out tracks, it can't return fire, form boarding party and take it

Easy

>>
>>30236722

Was this thing feasible to build? Forget practicality. I just want to know if it could have been built at all. Did they have the ability to make an engine strong enough to power this thing?
>>
>>30237400

It was going to be powered by a submarine engine IIRC
>>
>>30236823
No, we save that for our bombing campaign over India.
>>
>>30237400
>Was this thing practically feasible to build?
>Forgot practicality though
I'll ignore the contradiction here.

It could have been built. Germany had the means to produce larger submarines, so this tank could've been done. It also had engines for the submarines, which could have been used here.

And then the factory would get bombed, it would be glacially slow, it couldn't cross rivers and bridges, it was a sitting duck for bombers in the open, it would run out of gas, and a million other major flaws.

Does anyone have that green text about a pilot from WW2 that has something along the lines of "giggling like an idiot"?
>>
>>30236722
>Bomb it

WH40k tier weapons a shit. What's the point of armoring up a gun that big when you just out range everything anyways, and could spend the resources on more guns and a unit of smaller tanks to ensure nothing gets close to them.
>>
>>30236722

Warbike your tank off a hill onto the top armour, gg nazi we on your roof now.

I would kill it with a harpoon.

But if you insist on using tanks, then I would také a bunch of heavy tanks and shoot on its tracks until they break, leaving the landkreutzer immobile.

Keked
>>
>>30236917
>why smaller cannon
because you don't engage all close targets with the anti-ship artillery
also, it looks like those four whatevers at the top of the tread wells are MG stations
>>
>>30237685
WITNESS ME!

But seriously, mobility kill wins this in a heartbeat. Hammer on the running gear with 17-pounders, T-34/85s, 152mm howitzers, whatever's handy. Once it's immobilized, anything from a strategic bomber raid to a P-47 with HVARs could gut it without much trouble.
>>
>>30237537
it's more like a mobile arty bunker/C3 than a tank, IMHO. once you think of it like that, having the fuel efficiency and land speed of a shuttle crawler isn't so bad
>>
>>30236917
>>hope that logically fuel is stored near the engine
This is almost never the case, not even in cars.

Probably won't hit it directly, but good luck getting it out of the craters.
>>
>>30238679
It's still a /massive/ concentration of resources with no real way to hide from or evade attackers. I guarantee the moment this thing becomes known to the enemy, every single one of their airmen is going to have a fucking priapism until it's blown up.

>TFW you will never drop a 1000lb bomb on that thing and turn the crew into red jelly.
>>
>>30236722
>tiny forward-facing gun

y?

surely they could put the thing in a tiny turret if they really wanted a close-in defense weapon.

also the fact that this thing doesn't have a couple of quad-mount 20mm's on top of it is just ridiculous.
>>
>>30238755
I'm of half a mind that's the whole point of the thing. It's literally only two BB guns, a tank cannon, and a buttload of steel and engine. The faster it's destroyed on the field, the less resources the germans waste keeping it functional and deployed.

Let's not talk about the resources wasted in building it, but it'd make a great paper tiger and wonderful front line intimidation item when the main guns fire.
