24 inces OAL. Is the ATF on their way?

Measured with the stock fully extended, dipdong. Disassembled doesn't count.
>>
>>30207382
it's fully functional without the stock

Aren't most bolt actions? I mean, it's fucking stupid to take a rifle out of stock and fire it, but you can with most bolt actions.
>>
>>30207629
So is literally any other gun but an ar pattern.
>>
>>30207629
So are a lot of guns.
>>
>>30207181
It's a pistol now
>>
>>30207670
Once a rifle always a rifle.
>>
>>30207670
>>30207681
It's an aow because it doesnt have a foreward grip. Please learn something before commenting.

OP you should delete
>>
>>30207691
No it isn't you dumb fuck, disassembly does not suddenly turn a gun into an NFA item. And I meant always a rifle in that you can't legally turn a rifle into a pistol, it just becomes an SBR or whatever.

Michigan fag here
Why is this a problem? What is the issue here?
16 inches is the dangerzone here.
>>
>>30207992
Nothing. OP and a few others in the thread are retarded and think that he just made an illegal AOW. You're thinking of an SBR.
>>
>>30208011
>>30207992
OP here.
I didn't think it was an AOW. I didn't even know what an AOW was until 10 minutes ago. I'm not sure what it is, which is why I posted it here.
>>
>>30208049
It's not anything but a partially disassembled rifle.
>>
>>30208049
What you have, is a disassembled rifle. If this was a problem, manufacturers would not be selling them in that config.
An AOW is any of the following
a) smoothbore pistol
b) disguised firearm
c) concealed weapon >26" that isn't a rifle/shotgun
d) pistol with a vertical foregrip
e) firearm >26", both rifled and smoothbore barrels, which are under 18"
>>
>>30208096
>e) firearm >26", both rifled and smoothbore barrels, which are under 18"
Wouldn't that just be an SBR or SBS if it's over 26" long? Or did you mean <26"?
>>
>>30208096
>smoothbore pistol
Wait, really?
Oops. I need to go dispose of something.
>>
>>30207658
Technically the buffer tube is not a stock (See AR pistol). So AR's are too.

Michigan fag again
What state is this law for?
I've been told repeatedly you cannot legally "conceal" a firearm with a >16" barrel, meaning that anything with a >16" barrel is not technically concealable by any legal definition.
>>30208104
I would say yes.

Fair enough. I'm actually trying to think of a rifle/shotgun that can't function without its stock.
>>
>>30208096
>disguised firearm
Is it the disguise or the firearm that becomes NFA at that point? Is it like a suppressor where I can NFA the method of disguise?

Think those HK briefcases that pop up every now and then. Do I get a tax stamp on the pistol or the case?
>>
>>30208129
>What state is this law for?
It's federal. So, all the states.

>Michigan fag again
>What state is this law for?
All of them, it's part of the NFA. It's separate from whatever weird ass CC laws Michigan has.
>>
>>30208104
>>30208129
No, because it would be a rifle (title I), and an SBS (title II). The "Marble Game Getter" traiped the line, and to resolve the Title I or II quandry, it got shuffled to AOW with its $5 tax.
>>30208136
If the disguise requires alteration, it is itself the AOW, or it is married to the firearm (which depends upon the ATF's mood). Otherwise, the firearm is the AOW. If you turn a Contender into a cane gun, you don't need to restamp it to make it a wallet gun.
>>
>>30207691
If at any point it has had a stock attached it cannot be an AOW.
>>
>>30207681
What I find interesting about that is the same does not apply to pistols.

You could put a rifle barrel and rifle stock on a 10/22 Charger and be perfectly legal. As long as you didn't put a short pistol Barel on one while the rifle stock was on the action you'd be fine.
>>
>>30207681
Started as a rifle always a rifle. Everything else can go back and forth since 2011.
