Why get the p226 over the p2022? It's several hundred cheaper and they are both 9mm.

seriously?

Dat frame... The grip on the 22X ones are a little more comfy, I think the trigger on my 2022 was a little better than my buddies 228 though... I'd only buy a trade in 2 series personally since they seem a little overpriced.
>>
Get the sp2022, it suits the cheap tastes of someone such as yourself.
>>
Frame and better build quality. Keep in mind that the SP2022 was made specifically for mass production for militaries and police agencies while keeping the production cost low. It wasn't made to replace the P226. It's probably the 3rd worst SIG pistol.

>It's probably the 3rd worst SIG pistol.

Not at all
>P224
>P250
>P227

The SP2022 is alright. Just don't compare it to the 22X's, it's unfair.
>>
>>30200095
I still don't understand the hate about the 224 and 227. I see why people don't like the the P250 though, but anyways:
>SP2022
>Mosquito
>P250
>>
>>30200095
>P250
I forgot about that. SIG has really churned out some serious abortions in the last decade or so between the 556, the 250, and their "custom shop." Exeter and Cohen are really on a mission to run that Swiss quality reputation into the ground...

>notorious qc issues

>literally sig took a bandsaw and chopped down a p229

>227

>lol let's make it a flush 10 rounder
>>30200140
>SIG has really churned out some serious abortions in the last decade or so

They have. I really don't jump on the exeter hate bandwagon because they have made some decent guns like the P320. Still, along with the ridiculous retail prices, I'm extremely hesitant on buying a gen 2 p239 sas because of the qc issues I occasionally hear about them.
>>
>>30200124
>>Mosquito
What's so bad about them? I have a P226R and I bought a .22LR conversion for it and it works great. I only shoot shitty Remington Golden Bullet out of it and only have the occasional FTF. This ammo has FTFs all the time, so it's not the gun.

Is the Mosquito really that bad?

It ain't called the Mosquito for nothing, it sucks.

Sig Sauer is German. The Swiss Sig doesn't exist anymore, or actually they do, but they only make cardboard boxes for milk and fruit juice now.

Thanks for your support regardless of your useless post.

I have a sp2022 and it is fine. Great price for what you get IMO. I have no complaints.

I would get the 226 if money wasnt an issue, but if you are like me, it is.
>>
>>30199936
They're both fine guns for different reasons.

I wish school would just stay in session all year.
>>
>>30200234
>Sig Sauer is German.
They're basically American now. The company that owns them is German and they manufacture a few parts in Germany to maintain the foreign/European quality facade, but the vast majority of their designing and production is done in Exeter now.
>they only make cardboard boxes for milk and fruit juice now.
Swiss Arms is still alive and well and they still do produce small arms on a limited scale for the Swiss Govt. and contracts as well as limited civilian sales in Europe and elsewhere. They've been importing 553 pistols into the U.S. in small batches the last few years.
>>
>>30200173
They have well documented reliability problems with most cartridges and some people don't like the controls. Along with SIG PRICES for a mediocre 22, it's severely outclassed by every other 22 on the market besides the pot metal garbage.

The 228, 239, 290, and Mosquito are bottom of the barrel SIGs.

Mosquito definitely comes in dead last.
290 2nd worst.
239 3rd
250 4th
228 5th not by virtue of being shit, but the fact it is a """""compact"""""
2022 6th worst
>>
>>30201469
How did I forget fucking 224

That gun comes in dead last
>>
>>30200124
My only beef with the p250 (aside from the usual sig profile) is that it let them be lazy fucks when designing the 320.
The 320 is nice but it could have been much better
>>
>>30201410
What's wrong with sigs?
>>
>>30201533
Good question
>>
>>30201533
Ive been put off by them ever since I had two malfunction so badly in the gun store they needed to be reset with a hammer, i wasn't even shooting the fucking gun, also I'm an HKfag
>>
>>30199936
!8 round flush fit and 20 round extended Mecgar magazines are available for the P226.
