What do you think of Berettas?
>>
A friend has one he carries on duty (security guard) it's neat, shoots well, but is heavy after a couple hours on the belt
But really fun at the range
>>
they're nice, but not manlet hand friendly.

First handgun I ever bought once I turned 21. Got it because "Lethal Weapon" was one of the movies I watched on repeat throughout childhood.

Still have it and still love it. I don't carry it because it's big and heavy for what it is, but it's a great shooting pistol.
>>
>>30197243
I like them. I have smaller hands, and the A1's grip works very well for me.

I don't really mind the slide safety, but then I don't expect that every gun have a 1911 or Glock manual of arms.

Decent guns. My 92FS cycles any ammo I have, even with a suppressor (my Glock hates steel cases with a can). Using quality mags helps.

Some have issues with the slide safety, but I don't.

A buddy of mine has recently started a meager collection of Beretta pistols. He has a few more older models, mostly various Cheetahs and other small models. He used to have a 96, but he didn't shoot worth a shit with it and sold it. His Target 87 in the pic is really fucking sweet.

I'm turbo manlet and love my full size Berettas
people who can't properly hold one are underfed or commies or something
>>
I have a 92fs and a Taurus pt99 and while the Beretta looks nicer, the Taurus is more reliable and I like shooting it a bit more.
>>
>>30197243
shot one at fort benning a while ago

I liked it, but i could very much feel it operating

not sure if it was the one I rented being not well lubed (had a problem with this at various ranges) but I could feel it cycle every single time. And by this I mean, I felt it slide along and chamber the round, and it felt...slow...I'm really not sure how to describe it.

Still like it though. I've got a weakspot for hammer fired, and I love the decocker on it. Didn't get a chance to disassemble it though

You should check out Allegheny Gun Works. Guy does fantastic work on Berettas. That one started life as a Centurion D. Usually starts out with a vanilla D or vertec D slide and goes from there. He can use the Beretta steel/combat safety levers, 92 levers, or the ones he makes in house single sided or ambi
>>
>>30198777
There is but a single Brigadier in 10mm. Guy that built it said it would be easy for the factory to do but neither Beretta nor Taurus want to take him up on it.

Shame considering he has thousands of rounds of full power 10mm through it
>>
I love mine, wish I was home from work to take some overdue pictures.

Worked at their Maryland factory for awhile,

I have a 92FS and a NEOS, both have been solid guns. The trigger return spring broke shortly after I got the 92 but it was a police trade in and it's a high mortality part so I wasn't surprised.

Can't decide if I like the 92 or my Jericho more.
>>
>>30200913
i have a 92 sb, neo and jericho as well. i really like the jericho over the 92. but i guess im more of a cz75 style gun guy anyway
>>
My favorite full sized 9mm. Really good reliable pistol. Although difficult to conceal carry I've seen it done.

Most milfags hate it because when they're issued one it's beat the fuck up and functions improperly.
>>
large for a 9mm handgun but they shoot well
>>
>>30200927
>Most milfags hate it because when they're issued one it's beat the fuck up and they function improperly
ftfy

20 years stronk on FBI issue 92FS and it's still kicking. Only one malfunction. Failure to lock back on empty while shooting Tula steel cased.
>>
>>30200943
Thanks.

That's impressive life for a Beretta. Keep in mind a lot of people mistreat their weapons because "lol not mine."
>>
>>30200970
I should clarify, this was an FBI gun that was released in the 90s and I bought it as a non-LEO for private use.
>>
>>30197243

>i may get the px4 first just to avoid only having a meme gun.
>>
>>30200844
And you yourself said they we're in a transitional period
>>
>>30201297
It's a fine gun, but if you want to conceal carry a G19 may be the better choice.
I like my full size PX4, though. Comfortable, reliable, and I can shoot the ass off a fly with it.
>>
>>30200925
Different anon but I've had the opposite experience I love my 92 but I have never shot a 75 or clone that I liked, the main issues I had was a bad trigger on the 75 and the slide was hard to keep a grip on when loading it.

>>
>>30199485
>I felt it slide along and chamber the round, and it felt...slow
Even well lubed it always feels like this except "smoother" if that one was under-lubed. I think it is a combination of the weight/low power round/low bore axis sort of cancels out the other movements that you get caught up on more in other guns and gives you space to notice the action. It is a good gun to hand to new shooters (for their first not .22 handgun) just because of this actually.

Shooting +p results in a similar sense of feeling all the action, just in fast motion.

>>30197287
Barely 5' girls can shoot the 92, git good.
>>
>>30197243
Cheetah give you the best balance of size and capacity for a .380. When I carry mine I have 26 rounds of ammo in two mags and a frame mounted safety and SA trigger pull. the PX4 is too heavy wide and has too many protuberance for IWB. It is also 5 ounces heavier then Glock for the same capacity and most of them are manufactured with a slide mounted safety. Having said that the PX4 is a smooth firing reliable pistol. my personal experience with m9, model 92 has been poor.
>>
>>30197243
most gun free zone signs use the 92 as the silhouette for there signs. Fortunately i usually carry a glock

>>
You ever completely dismantled one?
Why the FUCK do Italians like springs so much?
>>
>>30204288
yes, 100% I agree with the new shooter part. It allows them to get a feel for how handguns operate and it happens slow enough for the brain to process it so you can understand whats going on instead of a bang, wrist pops up, everythings over.

Good gun in general, and I'd own one if they were cheaper

Cool.
I'm going to fingerfuck both of them tomorrow and see which one feels best.
Heard nothing but great things about both of them, but the PX4 may have me sold because I like me sum of dat DA/SA. I want to get Glock before Gasbston passes away and some shitfuck starts cutting costs and making them more expensive/stocks crash or some shit that usually happens with that.
>>
>>30206009
Be sure to dryfire each. Glocks aren't famous for their triggers, but the mushy take up is easily my least favorite part of my PX4
>>
>>30197243
Love them. I love 1911s more, but some day I will get a 92 as a pure range toy. I would probably carry one if I were a security guard or mafia hitman, but its just too bulky for me to ever cc.

I've occasionally "concealed" carried my full-size PX4 45 ACP. I'm thinking about picking up the compact or sub-compact to actually CC. I'm usually carrying the Beretta Pico 380 ACP. Something 9mm would be nice but I don't care for the Nano. The subcompact feels pretty decent though.

>>30204816
If a frame mounted safety is what you desire, the Taurus PT92 is not at all bad, get some MecGar 17rd mags and you've almost got Beretta tier quality.

When I was 21 and jn the Army, I heard all kinds of negative stuff about them. Gotndeployed, got issued one for guarding Afghans, loved it. Came home and bought one.

Ended up selling it years ago because of severe financial difficulties, but now that I've got money I've debated getting another one. We'll see.
