The pics? It's always been questionable whether or not Tula made military issue krinks into 1993. The only krinks I've seen that are 93 are civilian market or something else wrong with them. This is a large collection of 93's without the trunnions ground down or anything like that. Depending on the context and source of these pics it could make a difference in the perceived manufacturing period of military krinks.

Buying an AMD-65 from a friend on Thursday. It's one of the FÉG Hungarian models with the short barrel and extended muzzle device. He chopped the front grip down to facilitate mag changes, I'll probably get a wood set and a new plastic set.
I plan to add a proper sling swivel, may end up using an East German with a modified tab.

I've got one crate of 7n6 I'm going to leave untouched and I've got a can and a half of open 7n6 that I've been using, and a local shop was stocking WPA 5.45 for $0.25 a round for a while so I bought a ton of that but now they've stopped and are only stocking Tula 5.45 for like $0.40 a round so I'm onto another brand. What is the best performing 5.45 for the money? I've read a lot of praise for Silver Bear. I've had great luck with WPA but if I can find something better or cheaper I'll give it a shot.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm really OCD about having ammo on hand and I've only got around 2000 rounds of 5.45 not including the stashed away 2160 rounds of 7n6. Compare that to my current ~16k rounds of 7.62x39 and I get really worried whenever i shoot my SLR because I don't have as much of a stockpile and "one more mag and I'll run out!"

Tula AKMs were generally made rougher than Izhmash AKMs. Rougher machining and a messier finish. As far as functional differences, I can't say, but I don't think either one would be "better" than the other simply because of how the AK is designed.
