Post the best looking tank of WW2
>>30189422
All WWII tanks look like shit.
>>30189422
The Sherman had many good points, but aesthetics wasn't one of them.
>>30189447
>>30189439
I disagree with both of you.
>>30189422
>>30189439
>>30189447
You are both wrong
>>30189422
nice bait
the sherman looks like a huge toy
I know it's not technically a tank, but I think it's one of the coolest looking of the war.
Anybody got any Pershing picks? I always thought that one looked bad ass.
The Sherman looks like Private Pyle from Full Metal Jacket, but a tank.
I mean that in the best way.

Rivets on my tank, yes please!
Closest thing we'll get to a Victorian tank
>>30190091
>>30190091
The rad thing about this motherfucker is that the retarded allieds kept mistaking him for a Tiger for some reason so they always bailed when one or more panzer IV's turned up. One single IV could literally hold up multiple allied divisions. The amerilards were especially pussified when it came to this, always pulling back and requesting their abundant artillery zerg strikes when a single german IV showed up. In those hollywood movies you always see le heroic americans fighting against the numerically superior wehrmacht but it was the exact other way around IRL actually
>>30189990
>>30190009
I always liked the way the chaffee looked too, like a mini-pershing.
stealth
Puny facist tankletts
>>30190186
So easy to knock out in WT.
>>30190131
the tiger was seen as an extremely deadly and hard to kill beast and the us and ruskies knew their tanks couldnt stand up to it in a front on front engagement, their armour and guns just didnt cut it at first so of course theyd not want to fight it if they didnt have to
>>30190186
>Muh 1-2 rounds per minute rate of fire
>Muh 20 round capacity
No thanks.
>tfw can't decide between the Panther, King Tiger, late war Shermans, Chaffee, Pershing and Comet
why do I love tanks so fucking much
>>30189422
Make way for the king baby
>>30189890
One does not choose the stug life, the stug life chooses them.

>>30190258
Better use muh 75mm that doesn't penetrate a jack shit
>>30190496

Designed in WWII but was just too late to see action there. Still counts.

>>30189956
>that gigantic turret ring
>commanders cupola only has direct vision slits
get out GET OUT! UGLY GIRL!!!
Centurion, pershing, panther, is3, tiger 2. I know several of those are end of war products but still
Eventually the germans would've reached a tonnage that would've turned the tide of the war
>>30196159
holy damn that's huge i want one
I have fantasies of cruising around in Africa with 6 brothers
>>30196159
Yup american fighter bombers would have started hitting their target more.
The one and only
>>30196159
When did the germans start mandating skeletors on the Jagdtiger barrels?
>>30196243
Top banter
>>30196213
> mfw you get blown the fuck out from 2km away by Pz4
>>30196243
>skeletors
That's what most kids looked like before our post-industrial hellhole. Most people grew up skinny, lived skinny, and died skinny. People are just fucking thick now.
>>30194476
I'm sorry but that's a really ugly tank.
>>30190554
Vatnik? No Slavoboo ? Yes
So eat shit nigger
>>30196286
The long 75 was not available when the M3 was first sent to Africa.
>>30190109
Those are welded over bolts - not rivets.
>>30190317
neck yourself, newfriend
>>30196351
>it was not possible for the M3 to come into contact with a long 75 pazner IV at a later date.
ok guy
>>30196374
And you could have posted a at gun it would be a lot more likely, the long 75 panzers where in short supply all the way till the end of the north african campaign.
>>30190131
Of course. Why take the risk in a duel against a tank that outweighs and out guns you when you can just drop artillery on their head. There's a reason the Allies won.
>>30196351
F2s were available in Africa about a month before the first Sherman tanks landed.
>>30196411
Yes but we are talking about the lee/grant not the sherman.
>>30196421
You nitwit. I'm suggesting that an encounter between an M3 and a Pz. IV with the long 75 was possible. The Sherman hadn't started to replace the Lee until September - therefore the Lee could have been in combat with an F2, thus making this post >>30196286 a possible scenario (sans the 2k thing). All this is assuming >>30196351 wasn't just an inane factoid instead of an attempt to refute the scenario previously described.
>>30196286
Fuck, for some reason these immediately screamed to me.
>>30196464
No I'm not saying it couldn't have happened I'm just saying it would be very unlikely and
1 more likely to get killed with a at gun or a mine
2 such a tiny chance of that happening
3 the lee could also engage the pz4 at the same distance the pz4 could engage it.
>>30196522
Yet it still has a possibility of happening. Whether or not it's a likely scenario is an altogether different argument and therefore irrelevant to the discussion. This your first time holding a successive conversation or something?
>>30196543
At 2 in the morning yes.
>>30189869
That's no Calliope!
>>30196491
>>30196654
>a-anon what are you doing?
>>30190258
that shit tore turrest off panthers and tigers bruh
the russian called it beast killer.
Pic related, a brumbarr hit with 152mm AP shell

FUCKING CHECK!!!
Confirmed for the sexiest Sherman variant ever.
>>30197066
Yeah, only that it aint a fucking Brummbär but a Panther Ausf. D which is clearly indicated by the commanders cuppola and the turret shape.
>>30197094
aawww shit. forgive my autism, that was a wrong pic.
>>30197105
No problem dude.
Anyways the most sexy tanks of ww2 would be IS2 mod1944 and the King Tiger. Panther also looks sexy af.
I think all tanks of WWII look amazing.
It's just that some look more amazinger than others.
The Maus was so fucking sexy.
Must be my chubby girl fetish desu
>>30196491
>>30196286
so what's a german tank crew of five doing sitting around a sherman firefly.
>>30197289
The Germans made occasional use of captured tanks.
>>30190300
King of A E S T H E T I C S, but the last place in terms of fuel efficiency and reliability.
>>30197329
I always like how they had to modify the shitty russian tanks to include their cuppola.
The captured KV-1 with the 75/L40 looks legit sexy.
>>30190573
I'm fascinated to imagine how different the war in Europe would have been if this had been ready by D-day.
20lber of doom.
>>30189987
>I like straight edges and I cannot lie
>My Sturmfuhrer cant deny
>>30190140
They seemed to like that general design. All the post war heavy designs were built around it ad well.
>>30190583
How about an entire city block?
OP German tenk.
>>30190221
My dick is confused
I like the /aesthetics/ of the Tiger 1 however, I love the reliability and ease of maintenance on the Sherman. Every single one I've worked on reminds me of working on an oversized American classic car. Which is essentially what a Sherman is. However, in the long run and if I was on the eastern front put me in a fucking Tiger 1 to kill commies. At least I'll take down a couple dozen before I'm eventually overran by gopniks.
>>30198416
>Chrysler A57 multibank 30 cylinder 21-liter engine, 470 hp at 2,700 rpm
>30 cylinders
>reliability and ease of maintenance on the Sherman
>>30196159
with tanks that humongous they could have influenced the tides of entire oceans
T-34 Is sexy as hell
>>30198486
i'm pretty sure Shermans used radials in the early versions and moved on to a simpler V8 diesel
>>30189987
>>30198201
>>30194642
krauts should have beefed up the suspension and engine on the pz4
anyone here about that "maus" tank? sounds pretty neato
>>30198700
Nah. There's only so much you can do before you need a new tank.
What they should have done was make the Panther less shit before they fielded it.
>>30198486
>Chrysler A57 multibank
It actually was very reliable (like all U.S. tank engines) despite being a cobbled together last minute design.
Technically not a tank.
>>30196294
That kid looks like he just got out of Auschwitz.
>>30193254
>Cap'n 'Merica
Heil hydra
>>30196159
I am certain there are wehraboos in this thread who unironically believe this
>>30197066
sorry to disappoint you, but this is not a Brummbär
the photo in the link is, but this is another vehicle, Panther i believe
>>30190154
Fuck yes
Come on.
>>30189469
Leave me, my wife's son and his dad alone.
I'll let you figure out which tank is the father.
>>30196213
7.
The american tanks had 7 crew. Only British M3 Grant's had 6 crew as they deleted the radio operator and moved the radio to the turret for the commander to use. This also gave them more room for ammo.
>>30199678
He said six brothers implying that himself would be included.
>>30190300
Literally best tonk, but Porsche turret best turret
hnnnnnng
>>30190154
is that Stahl auf der Heide?
>>30189439
Not this one
>>30199305
when i asked what i inscription i should put on it, my friend said because of my play style (up in your face) that i should put that on
>>30197571
>I'm fascinated to imagine how different the war in Europe would have been if this had been ready by D-day.
The war in Europe was fought on the Eastern Front, pal.
>>30193266
T-26 is cute! CUTE!
