What ammo would you recommend to other shooters?In before 7 AK guys simultaneously post a pic of Golden Tiger.
Mine is pic related. It's let's me punch paper holes close together, works in most barrel twists, keeps a decent POI between Texas winters and summers, and most importantly, it's relatively cheap. Now if I could only ever find their .308 ammo in stock...

I use their 308 and 223 nato-alikes as the lowest quality ammo my nicer guns see. My vepr dents brass however, and gets nothing but silver bear.
I absolutely love winchester white box 9mm. Those 100 round packs just work well for me.

It's good. Maybe a little underpowered but it shoots around 2 moa for me and the brass is pretty good for reloading (I use it for 300blk). Basically It's good plinking ammo if you don't want to use steel cased.
I reload most calibers I shoot, the only exception being 7.62x39. I generally just run brown bear through my WASR.
For everything else, when I do buy factory ammo instead of new brass, I generally aim for S&B, Winchester, or Hornady. They all make good brass for their prices. Each one has a few calibers they excel at, and a few they really don't.

Anyone know of any factory loaded heavier all copper bullets in .223? I keep hearing good things about Barnes TSX bullets, but I don't think I've ever seen them in a factory load.

Knock IMI all you want, but their 75gr OTM (razorcore or something silly like that) is pretty good stuff. Granted, it's 0.75 a round, but I usually don't find 75gr 5.56 that cheap anywhere else.

For match ammo, gotta go with the TMK loads from Black Hills. Atomic Ammo is a close second.
If you do match pistol ammo, IMI's 9mm and .45acp NATO ball loads (230gr hardball/124gr FMJ) have been insanely accurate. Dirty as SHIT though. And decently affordable.

Black Gun Industries 55gr reman. Cleaner and more consistent than Freedom Munitions, have never had a fucked up round from them (unlike Freedom, who shipped me an entire case of wildly out of spec .45acp then refused a refund when it wouldn't even fit in mags so I had to file a dispute with my CC company). Tends to be quite accurate, with my good AR managing 1.1 MOA.

ZQI from Walmart, with Perfect being a close second. Decently clean, pretty bog-standard M80 ball. Nothing special about it other than it's 52cpr. Pretty sure it's someone's surplus.

Hornady's GMX is a monolithic copper hollowpoint and is available in a couple different Hornady factory loads up to 70gr.

Red army standard fucked up once when they first started up. Past that they are average in the accuracy department and just good range ammo.
