As always, it was a pleasure to spend the weekend with you all. Here's to another good event, and hopefully many more to come!

I'd like to personally thank everyone that came out to Summer NuggetFest in Virginia this weekend. We had well over 50 /k/ommandos in attendance, I'd have to count how many buttons I have left to get an exact number as I know some folks headed out before we did the two group photos.
I had an incredible weekend and I hope everyone in attendance did as well, though I'd wager you guys did judging from the feedback I got from everyone as they left.
I'd like to thank my EMT volunteers for their dedicated help in treating the minor cuts and hot barrel burns a few folks incurred, and I can say that we are all happy there were no major injuries or cause for concern. Another great meetup with great people.
I'd also like to thank those that brought some awesome, awesome stuff that they were more than happy to share with others. Be it food, cooking skills, expensive/rare firearms, shooting/gun maintenance assistance, or overall general /k/ommraderie. You guys are amazing and I'm blessed to get to spend time with you, even if only a few times a year or less.

We got lucky in my opinion. Only rained for about 20 minutes total on Friday and Saturday afternoon. Came down hard around 8pm on Saturday night but we had a pretty good tent/tarp setup so we weren't too bad off. Rained on and off the rest of the night and early Sunday morning.

Switzerland has sent troops to Afghanistan as part of ISAF. We had a big ISAF group on the Camp Leatherneck side of Camp Bastion. it came a gullywasher saturday evening and most everybody was hiding under tarps trying to keep them from collapsing. These guys got tired of trying to stay dry and said fuck it and did a rain dance.

I seriously have zero problems with cosplayers going to a camping trip. I mean, if you REALLY think about it, a lot of /k/ommandos are cosplayers (military costumes and gear) as well. Some people just have different battle gear.
Also, them dressing up makes things harder for them, not other people, so I'm actually going to be impressed about cosplaying in the wilderness while using guns and doing other stuff. So long as everybody contributes, that's great. And taking pics with everybody in their costumes is no different from normal selfies.
It's Nuggetfest. It's a social gathering. People want to preserve moments of fun with pics for their own albums.
