What was /k/'s first rifle? Do you still have it?

>Do you still have it?
>implying I would ever sell my guns
>>30179195
Nice arms there eggplant man
>>30179317
Well that was an older style, he has slightly improved in drswing recently
>>30179195
First rifle: Carcano Cavalry Carbine, and yes I still have it
>>30179195
Type 56 carbine, though I traded it for a 1918 LSAC No.1 Mk.III.
>>30179195
Ruger 10/22.
Still have it, have shot approximately 11billionty rounds through it to date.
>>30179195
An m16A4. No the Marines didn't let me keep it. So I bought an AR.
>>30179195
Ruger American in .223, I still have it, but I rarely use it
>>30179195
NPAP and no. Traded it for some parts kits that I'll eventually get around to building.
Does anyone still make an AR-10 with that type of charging handle, or at least just and upper? I've got the urge to make a Portuguese knockoff now.
>>30179195
M&P15 Sport. Sold it immediately after the first range trip (to my friend, a gunsmith) because it was leaving scary looking, rather deep dents in the primers just by chambering a round. No fucking thanks S&W, what a fucking waste. First and last S&W purchase.
>>30179568
nodak makes them for the 15 but i have not seen that type for a 10
>>30179195
Some Savage .22 bolt action. I sold it when my parents found my grandfathers .22 in their closet and gave it to me. Worth it considering my Grandfathers feeds much more reliably and is probably 50 plus years old.
.308 Browning BLR from my grandpa. I've killed all of my deer with that rifle.
>>30179195
First rifle was my M305 in ancient pic related. I'll never sell any of my guns.
Mine was an AR-15 I built.
Had to sell it to help pay for college.
Feels bad, man.

Sako M92S
Yes
Marlin 1894 in .44 Magnum.
I got it yesterday so yes.
I still suck at accuracy but practice is a lot of fun. I suspect I'm doing it wrong and need lessons on getting a proper sight picture.

>>30179195
First rifle owned is my grandfather's K31 but first rifle I had, it wasn't mine only lent but got to keep it at home, was a SIG 550
>>30179195
Marlin Model 25 bolt action .22 rifle.
HS graduation gift from parents.
Stolen by methamphibians while I was in the Army.
I hope they choke to death on their rotting teeth.
>>30179195
SA M1A. Got it as an ETS present and I still have it.
>>30179591
>doesn't know how AR firing pins work
>>30180546
Thanks!
A nugget
it works and was hella cheap at the time
>>30180564
Y-yes
>>30179195
a sporterized M1903
I still have it but there's a lot I don't like about it. when I have a stable income again I'll replace the stock and scope with something more comfortable and appropriate
>>30179591
Oh dear. I hope this was only a week or two ago, or I'm going to think you're an idiot for not figuring out that it's normal any earlier
Mosin Nagant M38 that my Dad bought me. Never getting rid of it, or any of my other guns for that matter.
My Marlin Glenfield modle 65 "Golden 50" I got it as a gift from my daddy when I was 10. My favorite rifle to use to hunt rabbit and shoot tree rats and sky rats.
>>30180769
How has your relationship with your raifu been? Have you, um, managed to get a little more "close"?
My first rifle, Mosin
My second rifle, Ar-15
Why would i ever get rid of a gun?
>>30179464
How do you like it? My LGS has one in good condition for $275, is it worth it?
Garand
sold it because it was too worn to restore
got a better one later
>>30180700
>>30180814
Well I spoke to a lot of AR guys, half of them said it was normal, the other half firmly asserted that if you buy a quality AR, your fucking firing pin will not make a scary fucking dent directly into your primer for no reason. Unfired but chambered rounds here. I was just a pistol shooter for years and it was my first AR. I still wonder about this, but my instinct tells me that the fucking firing pin should not be slamming into the back of my rounds unless I pull the trigger.

boy, you seem like the tarded type.
>>30182544
Nah, for a new AR owner it's a perfectly legitimate question. Why is there a dent in my primer? This doesn't look like it happened from extraction. Why is the firing pin contacting the primer without pulling the trigger?
Then, upon asking a lot of people who own AR's, the jury is fucking split. Well, fuck that shit until I find out more.
1937 Tula Mosin Nagant, yes
Remington 700. Gave it to my dad who was the one who originally bought it for me funny enough. Now I have a custom built AR-10.
Mine was a russian SKS, sold it and moved to a vz.58 POS. Sold that too.
>>30179195
i assembled a PSA AR from parts. yes i still have it.
>>30179195
Of course I still have it. It's a plane-jane, no bullshit AR-15. An M4 clone if you will. And I'm damn glad I bought it 6 months before sandy hook. I paid $675 for it and was once offered $1200 (during peak bad times). It may not be much, but it's symbolic to me. First gun I ever purchased (not owned though)
>do not balk at my un-sheeted mattress, for it was the day upon which my summer sheets were being switch for winter sheets
>>30179498
This.
Also, that AR wound up being stolen, the next one I sold to my brother for rent money, and then I built one that is currently my only AR
Nazi Mauser k98 that was refurbished by Yugoslavia.
Traded it towards a unrefurbished German k98
Wish I still had it
>>30179195
Ruger 10/22
I don't have it anymore, traded it for credit at a gun store towards another purchase. It was a decent enough rifle, but I poured a lot of money into stocks and some optics for it, none of which ended up exciting me. I replaced it's spot in my collection with a Marlin Model 60, which I find far more interesting, and so far has been more reliable.

>>30180928
Well we have done some things together.
>>30186803
So cuddling and hand holding?
>>30182582
The firing pin just kind of floats in the bolt, so the bolt driving forward will send the firing pin into the primer. The firing pin being so light means it doesn't have the inertia to set off the round, needing the weight and power of the hammer to push it hard enough.

> selling your first gun
how pleb can one be?
>>30186816
M-maybe...

Anon! Do you know what degenerate actions have you done to your pure raifu!? On a blue board!? ABSOLUTELY HERETICAL
