If the US had never entered WW1 or otherwise assisted the Allies, would they still have won?
>>
Yes but it would've taken about another year or so.
>>
Yes, its not even close. The only remaining Central Power was Germany, and they were facing literal starvation. A few thousand people per month due to the blockade.
>>
No, and Israel would never had been created.
>>

Germany's loss was a done deal at that point. The only question was how much longer the conflict would drag out. However, the Allies weren't really doing too well logistically either, so it's plausible that Germany could've held out for better terms.
>>
Yes, war fatigue was at an advanced stage in Germany, the Kaiser would still have been thrown out and the new government would still sue for peace. Germany was defeated politically, not militarily.
>>
The US really didn't play a very important part in WWI. If they hadn't had joined then >>30179073
would have happened. The Frogs were really the major players of the Allies.

This is the grand irony, by the Allies beating Germany and being assholes in victory by not listening to Wilson, the harsh terms set upon the Germans literally created Hitler's rise and WWII.

If Germany had won outright or sued for peace under better terms, it probably would've just been Franco-Prussian War 2: Trench Boogaloo.

But the US was supplying the Allies with loads of supplies. It's the sole reason that the Allies logistics weren't in the shape that the Central Powers were.
>>
No, the French and British would have gone bankrupt without unsecured loans from the US and would have to make peace with Germany. It was US bankers that caused the downfall of Germany and Europe in general.
>>

>by not listening to Wilson
They did listen to him. They listened to how he wanted the League of Nations more than /r9k/ wants their waifu. They listened to him time and again refuse to take a stand against fucking over Germany, the moment they threatened not to take part in his League. Wilson, more than anyone else, should have the blame for WW2 laid at his feet.

If it wasn't for him, >>30182184 and >>30182333 wouldn't have been possible and the war would have ended in a stalemate-driven peace as both sides were too worn down to continue. But Wilson the Anglophile wanted to be the rescuer of the British Empire and broke US law to do so, even going directly against his campaign promises to stay out of the war--the promises that more than anything else he'd leaned on to get his 2nd term.

Fuck Wilson. I hope he's screaming in hell.

The Germans deserved it.

>the US lets Germany use their diplomatic cables because the entente powers won't, and the US wants Germany to have the ability to negotiate peace
>Germany uses America's own cables to try and entice Mexico into a war
>this is at a time when Wilson is desperately trying to negotiate a peace agreement
>>
>>30179064
Of course.
Just ask them.
>>
>>30182542
>America, who was already at this time selling gobs of war supplies to the Allies for unsecured loans
>Germany, who only couldn't communicate because their own cables were cut by Britain so that Britain could provide 100% bullshit propaganda to the US without anyone saying otherwise

Mexico getting into the war was Germany's only hope at that point unless the US quit pouring supplies into the Allied armies.

I hope you know that 2 weeks after the Zimmerman telegram was leaked, Zimmerman himself gave a press conference on it's authenticity.
>>
>>30182542
Nobody in Europe was innocent, and nobody in Europe deserved the slaughter they endured anon. WWI was just a massive clusterfuck of endless suffering and "our new offensive is totally going to win this war swiftly this time - we promise!" propaganda.
>>
>>30182542
The Zimmermann telegram was actually a proposal for a defensive alliance, sent after America had already broken diplomatic relations with the Germany and were preparing to enter the war against Germany regardless.
>>
>>30183084
I wasn't questioning its authenticity. Reread the post you responded to.
>>
>>30179064
Nope. Germany was fucked the minute their offensive stalled in 1914.

People don't really seem to understand how lopsided the war was, even after Germany took out Russia. The Royal Navy was conducting a complete blockade of Germany, going as far as buying up all the fish from Norwegian ports at inflated prices and proceeding to let it sit and rot at the docks to prevent Germany from getting any food. The blockade was devastatingly effective, especially considering Germany was also having to help feed Austria Hungary, who was even worse off because the Russians sacked Galicia in 1914.

Pretty much, the Central Powers weren't strategically self-sufficient, and nothing they tried could fix that. Germany established a Baltic colony known as Ober Ost which was pretty much designed to get as many resources from the region (to the detriment of the locals), and it still was a net drain on Germany. Germans were starving more and more with each passing day, and after the devastating winters of 1916 and 1917, the war wouldn't have lasted much further into 1919 at the worst.

For reference, the few German submariners - the best fed people in all of Germany - lucky enough to be captured by the Royal Navy found that their rations as POWs were far better than anything they were eating in Germany even in the best of times.

Actually if America didn't intervene in WW1 then WW2 might not have happened. The Treaty of Versailles is frequently stated as one of the major reasons for extreme nationalism, along with other economic attacks against Germany. I've heard it said that the reason for the anti Jewish movement was because of socialist Jews fucking with their economy.
