Big fan of CZs ever since i got my p07. The middle one is a 1980 mark preban that I got for 380 OTD a few years ago, shoots like a dream. Also like how mecgar cz75 mags will fit all 3 of these, even though it sticks out the bottom of the p07 a bit. works great for cheap range mags.

Would a CZ be able to handle this and do they make magazines that extend the capacity from only 14 rounds?

I'd actually argue for a Compact/PCR instead of a P-01 if you're gonna carry, unless you can find a holster for P-01 with light/laser, the P-01 rail just eats up room.

It depends. The regular CZ-75's can use the regular 16 round flush fit magazines and the SP-01 style 18 round magazines with the +2 extension.
The compact sized CZ's can use the compact sized 14 round magazines and the full sized magazines listed above.
The RAMI CZ-2075 has a flush-fit 10 round magazine, but can use the compact sized magazines and the full sized magazines.
Mec-Gar is the OEM manufacturer of CZ magazines and they also sell premium versions of their magazines that hold one more than the regular magazines (17 and 19 for the +2). Not to mention that there is also a 26 round extended CZ 9mm magazine. So the RAMI's could use 10 round up to 26 round CZ magazines.

How would I find that out? Also would that be why I can use modern cz75 mags in it? I remember reading that preb could not use current magazines because of a firing pin block, but that there was a transistional period where they used the old slides with new frames.

Recently picked up a surplus CZ 75 Compact D for <$300 and having taken it to the range for the first time am seriously considering making it EDC rather than my Shield. The compacts are really a nice size for CC while still having a just under four inch barrel and 14 round capacity. Even the alloy frame PCR is going to be heavy compared to most modern plastic guns, but the feel of a DA/SA trigger is really growing on me. Maybe not for everyone though.

They're fucking unicorns but they are fun to shoot and super nice for carry. Carrying 10 rounds of 9x19 in a subcompact more than makes up for that fact that it is a double-stack.
If you plan on carrying it with the 14 round mag I'd honestly say just get a compact but carrying it with the 10 round mag in da gun and 2 14-rounders on your offside is a pretty good way to carry unseen.
I've literally seen two places that have carried them out of over a dozen stores and quite a few gunshows. I lucked out hard.
