Is it possible to buy an M14 in Canada? If so, where?
We have pretty awful weapons laws, so I wouldn't doubt it being banned.

canada is known for many things on /k/
being able to buy cheap chinese norinco m14s barred from US import is one of them
>>
Easier/cheaper to get one there than in the US.
>>
>>30161619
>>30161621
Really? Are norincos any good?
can I get one not manufactured by commies?
>>
As a local Canadian... I know, I cry myself to sleep as well.. my local Canadian Tire has them reg price. 560, and yes they are wroth it. Norinco has come a long way.
>>
>>30161627
They are not as well finished as the Springfields but at half the cost they are just as reliable.
>>
Seems so off for the gun that killed so many commies being sold by the Chinese, eh?
>>
>>30161694
Well you guys sold them the technical package, they are good at copying stuf

>>
ARe there wooden options?
>>
>>30161761
The older M305s had wood stocks, new ones all have synthetic but you can buy replacement wooden ones

my babies in 7.62 real fuckin' NATO <3
>>
>>30161790
Which one do you like better? the shorty or the long one?
>>
>>30161807
if I put the wood stock on the shorty it would probably be perfect, it's a Boyd's pepper laminate

but they're both amazing and one of the best values out there, I paid $399 for the long one years ago and they're both perfectly reliable

Damn that top one looks nice.
>>
>>30161619
They have some issues, but they are half the price of an M1A.
>>
>>30161936
Springfields are junk though for the money, if you want a high end M14 spring for an LRB Arms from Wolverine Supplies

I'll take the Norinco for $500 vs a LRB for $4K though, unless I was loaded
>>
Apart from not having select fire, what are the differences between an M1A and an M14?
>>
>>30162064
Nothing.
>>
>>30162096
Okay, thank you!
>>
Why do Americans have a hard time getting an M14?
>>
>>30162130
Because it's an ATF item.
>>
>>30162158
I hate gun regulations.
Are there any states that allow it or is it a federal thing?

OP, these are some of what we can get and there is much much more.

M305 quality varies and you can go pick one up for around $600.
>>
>>30162130
All M14's were cut up or given to "moderate rebels" by our good friend Bill after the legislation to surplus them out after converting them to semi auto only by cutting the FA lug loop off the heel of the receiver was shot down by the ATF's arbitrary ruling of "once a full auto, always a full auto".

The M14's were then parted out into parts kits which Springfield Armory made two hundred thousand M1A rifles out of and the receivers were cut up and sold for scrap.
>>
>>30162390
So my dreams of getting a select-fire M14 are never going to come true?
>>
>>30162411
It could; there are still private owners. But the select fire M14s are worth piles of dosh now. You can still achieve your dream if you get rich first.
>>
>>30162411
There are still a few in private hands, pre 86 registered of course. Mostly were requisitioned by higher-ups at the Winchester, H&R, Springfield or TRW factories and registered in amnesty.
>>
>>30162487
Some are also rewelded from those cut up receivers and parts kits and registered before 1986.

Even Springfield Armory Inc did a small run of FA M1A's
>>
>>30162535
At the same time though, we're talking about something in the $20,000+ price range here. ATF toys in general aren't cheap, but machine guns in particular are high-dollar items.
>>
>>30162390
I mean you don't have to get all technical. Just call it an M14

Here's my M1A loaded
>>
>>30163647
What does it look like unloaded?
>>
>>30161627
Yeah you can, but those are around $2500. If you're looking for a fun shooter you can get for cheap, then with a few upgrades the Norinco (currently around $600-$700 I think) is the way to go. There's also the fact that buying Chinese is like gambling in the sense you don't know what you're gonna get, and even though most peoples track records on the M305 is pretty good, there's a much higher chance of getting a lemon. If you are looking for something to collect and perhaps pass on to a kidlet one day, I would go Springfield otherwise it'd be fun to mess with some cheap shit.
