>>
>>30159125
Milled generally have big rectangles on the side while stamped have little oval-like dimples.

>>30159091

This.

If someone put out a rifle at the durability, accuracy, and cost Arsenal is selling, and on top of that has good customer service, and doesn't have any finish or trigger issues, Arsenal would get its shit pushed in.

But no one so far has been able to do it.

I'm looking to pick up a period correct muzzle break for a 1988 themed AK74. I'm currently using a Bulgarian zigzag.

Also there's a Russian 74M brake for sale on the Files for $100 for those of you who collect muzzle breaks (I know there's a few of you)

Between 3 and 3B on this page (two piece faceted and modified two piece) would be the appropriate one?: http://www.k-var.com/shop/skin1/pages/US/Articles/Muzzle_Brake/article01.html

I'm assuming 3B/modified two piece, but would the earlier faceted brake still be considered correct? I'm just trying to figure out how much I should expect to pay for one or the other and how uncommon they are. I see Russian zigzags pop up fairly often for around $60-$80, but I've never paid enough attention until fairly recently when I started looking for one of these.
>>

That'd be like saying it's stupid to pay more than $350 for an unconverted Saiga and completely ignoring everything that's happened, which influences its price, since they were that cheap at one time.

They are pretty revelant. That's what they were going for before Arsenal announced it was running out due to the ME contracts. Then the pre panic buyers caused the spike in price.
>>
>>30160195
>They are pretty revelant. That's what they were going for before
relevant*
>relevant
>were going for before
>before

So an event occurred, the market changed accordingly, and the previous price is no longer relevant to today's market.

If they start getting enough in to end the panic, then the old prices will be relevant, but supply and demand (or the perception of) is a bitch sometimes.

Why would you cut up something you're trying to re use? The barrel hardness has nothing to do with the headspace being off.
>>

I'll keep watching but I really doubt if it's going to do anything after coming this far.

It does when the groove for the barrel pin eggs out.
>>
So why are aks better than ars?
>>
>>30163886
The ras47 hardness tests, he also comments about testing a 39 and a v2 and they are slowly getting closer to right currently the barrel is correct or close to it and everything lese is off.

>>
>>30163932
I'll look it up, thanks for the info.
But either way, I'm happy with my rifle and nearly everyone else is as well.
>>
>>30163955
You can fake plum by dying mags.
>>
>>30163964
The RAS they tested started failing headspace after like 4 or 5k rounds. So it's always possible, it's good to check headspace anyways if you shoot that much regardless of shitty guns or not.
>>
>>30163965
No shit? I need to look into this. Something tells me if I tried it I'd fuck it up.
>>
>>30163982
Oh, I know the RAS is total shit. Never denied that. I'm talking about the C39V2. But either way, yeah, always good to check. Mine's still good after almost 6k.
>>
>>30164010
>I'm talking about the C39V2
For all intents and purposes they're the same thing.
>>
>>30164001
https://youtu.be/Tsr4d7gbnao
It's not hard. Just make sure the mags you want to dye are lighter in color or your result may vary.
>>
>>30164096
Don't you mean intensive porpoises?
>>
>>30164096
Maybe similar, but far from the same thing. I think that shows when you look at how the RAS is widely hated but the C39V2 is usually well-liked. Look at the Rob Ski testing, too.

Why do I keep seeing blue tape on AKs? What am I missing?
>>
>>30164225
When it's just on one mag and not taping them together it's usually so you can identify whose mags are whose and also make them easier to see/more visible if you drop them and need to pick them up, the latter being less of a thing.
>>
>>30164225

us non-commies use freedom tape (aka duct tape or duck tape) for all the little things we need to like taping mags together and fixing 1982 Chevrolets

commies don't have freedom/duck/duct tape or Chevrolets so they use electrical tape to fix their Trabants and what have you
