Looks like China is successfully selling their gear to the traditionally close-Russian client states of Central Asia.

What the fuck is Russia doing? Why cant Russia into mature armed UAVs?

They'll probably have to buy Chinese gen 5 aircraft to remain their pseudo relevant status going forward if we are being completely honest. They still make great transport aircraft though. It's just hard to compete with new designs when their old ones are both serviceable, widely available, and cheap.

Different UAV as here, but these Chinese drones are racking quite some kills and operation time over Iraq vs the ISIS.

Is China literally incapable of building anything original?
>>
>>30154743

No need to be butthurt.

China copied an American time-machine with which they could travel to a future where Russian drone technologies arent completely pathetic so that they can steal them.

Everything's alright.

Because it works.

The Japs show how it's done.

Things that are not going to happen:

>/k/ thread thread mentioning Russia getting at least 3 posts before descending into "Russia hasnoeconomy" meming.

Relax bro, your people are just getting incresingly nervous as elections come closer and there are no viable options to choose from (i suppose no one on /k will vote Bernie).
As a Russian myself, i can say only one thing about Russian economy - corruption will destroy it, so the main task of our government has to be something like "minimize corruption at all costs and wait till market will balance things out with minimal interruptions".

WHAT IS WRONG WITH LARGE BOMBER DOING SURVEILLANCE WORK LIKE LAST WAR IN OSSETIA EH, PIDARAS?

That's a photo of an arms expo in Astana. I get it, Russian has butt-fucked you, your dog and your entire family when you were 5. But how would lying about Russia on taiwanese cave-painting forum would help you to cope with this unfortunate event?

A lot of the kills seen in that video aren't from drone-fired munitions. A lot of that was the drone observing and/or designating targets for other weapons platforms. Still impressive from Chinese technology nonetheless. Looks about on par with US drone technology as far as optics and operational capacity.

The only way Russia and China will ever get ahead is if they team up, just another example of how quasi-communist governments cant cooperate on shit.
>>

>besides slowly losing what's left of their sphere of influence?
Actually they left all the hanger's on and retained most of the juiciest bits in turn.

>they can't into economy either so the future doesn't look too bright
I disagree. They are quickly weaning off from oil and gas and other feedstock exports, have massively reduced import needs and are rapidly approaching economic autarchy- all thanks to sanctions and of course low oil prices.
For example just this year agriculture has topped off arms sales in exports, and they are projected to take over the US as the number 1 wheat exporter.

Half of them aren't even equivalents and whoever made that image is just abusing certain perspectives to make different things look similar.

That being said, thinking China outright copied American drone technology simply because they look similar is also pretty stupid. The shape of an aircraft is determined by physics, there aren't many different optimal shapes for a given task.

That roundel is perfection itself.

In other news: Kazakhstan is also buying new Mi-35M's and possibly, Su-35S's. That on top of the Su-30SM's they've bought, means that the Kazakh airforce is rapidly being modernised.
