Which ones any why?
None.
You don't need it unless you shoot long distance.
I don't wrap my meaty mitts all over a hot ass can, so I don't need one.

Why do you need it only for long distances?
I would think they would help with taking them off hot.

Its primary job is to help prevent mirage off a hot suppressor.
A side benefit is that you can touch it without getting burned, but you can't exactly set a 800 degree suppressor on anything or put it in a bag. The ends not covered by the wrap are still terribly hot. The suppressor needs time to cool; so essentially you're using a $100 item as a $5 potholder.

Stops heat mirage from obstructing optics on long range shots.
If you need to take it off wear gloves. If you're shooting your weapon enough to get it red hot then you're probably using your air cooled light rifle like a belt-fed automatic weapon which is pants on head retarded.

In the thumb nail your pic looks like a Little Debbie snack. You think snack pastries could be used as suppressors like oil filters are?

I'll report back once my form 1 returns.
I have an elite iron wrap i picked up new at lgs for $55.
I worked great this weekend on a dog shoot in Nebraska.
I had no mirrage with it through my 15x scope. Before i put it on 10 rounds in on 15x and you couldnt see for the waves.
For taking off a hot can, i use a silicone cooking glove. Used for grabbing hot pans and pots.

I don't use one since I only start running into mirage issues after 40 rounds or so, and since I have a titanium tube that is about when I stop to let it cool anyway.
I just keep a pot holder in my bag for removing it when still hot.

scrolling through the catalog I thought you posted a picture of one of these

Speaking from experience, accidentally touching or rubbing against a hot can is really painful and becomes a nuisance when trying to work and shoot. I stopped using mine on my mk18 because of that. It would touch my leg when slung and burn the heck out of me. Never tried it with a cover though but after a couple bad experiences I'd definitely try one out.

hope you finished on Debbie's smug face
